Gradually those who have seen flaws and also foresee the doom day of APC will return. I am expecting rochas, Amechi, Ngige, to join the returnees. Rochas will loose both the governorship as well as his presidential ambitions if he fails. Someone should tell onyilola that after few months, he would be irrelevant in his new found party and he shouldn't even bother to return, he has no stake in PDP anymore. Clueless is synonymous with Ebele goodluck jonathan and that is his trademark globally, you can't be so uneducated not to know that. I am not surprised by Nuhu's defection, he was only forcing himself to be a saint all this while, reason why progressives voted the fake progressive of presidential contest in 2011. Someone stated that true leaders are given to a country in very scanty supply for each generation. Can any body imagine the Great Zik, Chief Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa, or Sir Enahoro cross carpeting from one party to the other once, not to talk of twice.

I greatly admire Ribadu especially for what he has been able to do for himself. Few forget that just in year 2001, he was a police counsel representing the FG at the Oputa panel. From there to the EFCC where he notedly made an analogy that he would would drive against traffic to apprehend a traffic offender driving against traffic. He also, along with other notable FG officials (within a period of 2 days) shared out indictments to about 100 opponents of the third term agenda, in a bid to prevent them from contesting the 2007 elections, ostensibly as punishment for scuttling OBJ's 3rd term agenda.

From his antecedents, he does not seem to be a man of strong will or conviction, rather a man available to be used especially if you avow truly or falsely that you intend to fight corruption. This is not necessarily bad but it may indicate gullibility.
Ponder the following:
How did he continue act as attack dog for OBJ without questioning OBJ's massive wealth acquired during his 8 year presidency, almost co-terminous with the reign at EFCC? Did he for once realize that he was being used?
How did he leave PDP to contest for Presidency in ACN? Did he not see that he was being used?
Does the lure of becoming Governor warrant going back to PDP. Should a man of that stature not be guided by principles or conversely did he make a mistake joining APC or is the new move the mistake?
Curiously, he shares the dubious honor of high profile jumps with ex VP Atiku Abubakar also from Adamawa, one of whom OBJ used him against; another APC member who seems hell bent on making sure Ribadu is not Governor.
I just feel, I may be wrong, that more is required to be a leader of people. Several mistakes are allowed the followers but a leader should have more conviction than is shown by our present day carpet baggers.

For all those insinuating that he is coming as an apc spy, PDP got the ground covered. Pdp has always been on top of whatever game apc is playing at.

Weather APC to PDP or PDP to APC,.. they are all thieves and no responsible leader would come out of either of these two parties

What I love best is that he attracts credible individuals to the party, Jimi Agbaje for Lagos, Ribadu for Adamawa, Dr Alex Otti his old friend for Abia, plus he was probably the best performing northern governor of the 1999-2007 set

I served in Bauchi 2004/2005 and I attest to the fact that he was a performing governor.Very humane,humble,approachable and tolerant of other tribes and religions.I spoke a lot bout him when I came back to Lagos and hoped he would contest for the presidency cos I was ready to mobilize and support him.

Needless to say I was disappointed when I heard he was involved in the pension saga.
I still like him though.

I really wonder how El-Rufai will manage his personal relationship with Ribald. Nasir is known to pit his personal relationships ahead of politics but this one will be very difficult to manage.

If after winning the governorship under the PDP, he will want to transform the state in the APC manifesto, and then the PDP will kick against it, and finally, he will dump PDP again and come back to his original party APC. Truly, APC is on the brinks! GMB would be regretting going into this merger. There is nothing that endear GEJ to me except his humility and silence in face of utter provocation. His sincerity is a thing we have never had in nigeria except with Abdulsalam Abubakar and may be Murtala Mohammed. All other were bent on satisfying the cabals that have destroyed Nigeria since 1960.

The man is silently pulling down all established mafia and 'god-father' structures of the old order and enthroning free and fair elections. If he can fully institute this in Nigeria we can move forward from there and say #NeverAgainToElectionRigging

A Ribadu who went all around the north trying to woo the rebel PDP governors over, a Ribadu who has some level of integrity and has proven it times without number, a Ribadu who was running all around for Nyako not to be impeached suddenly now becomes disenchanted with the party under a month? A Ribadu who will clearly give any candidate a good run in the election not withstanding his party affiliation will not need to soil his name by decamping just to achieve that aim!!!

Will the likes if Bamanga Tukur's son, Buba Marwa and Fintiri, the current acting Governor sit down on the fence and watch a "newbie" displace them in a twinkle of an eye?
