Massive Recruitment at a New Federal Government Sponsored Childcare Development/Recreational Facility and Montessori School (Over 35 Positions)


A new Federal Government Sponsored Childcare Development/Recreational Facility and Montessori School has been established in Wuse 2, Abuja; primarily serving children from birth (0) to 12years.

It is designed to be a full-service Non-Traditional Child Care, 24hours-all-year-round service centre and Montessori school located in a serene, educational and social environment.

The Childcare Centre will offer four basic/unique services: Daycare, Afternoon (After School) Care, Evening Care and Night Care for 0 to 12years. The regular Daycare service will open officially from 6.00am – 6.00pm, Mondays through Fridays.

The Montessori programme will groom children from the scratch and begin with two classes viz:- The Toddler/Infant Class (Parent/Teacher Programme) for 18months – 3years and The Nest Class 1 (Montessori Stage 1) for 3 – 4years.

The State-of-the-Art Technology and Recreation Club is a “Weekend Affair” (Saturday/Sunday), for ages: 4months-12years.

The Founder, Centre Supervisor/other shift workers would reside in the premises to make children quite at home, providing ease to working parents.

Qualified Registered Early Childhood Educators/Assistants, Child Development Professionals, Montessori Teachers and other workers are being recruited.

The School proposes a solid cultural foundation, built on the HEART – honesty, excellence, accountability, respect, teamwork, etc; will understand the value of her workers, recognise and appreciate the strength that each employee brings, giving support and cooperation to their lives both at work and at home.

Therefore, there are vacancies for the following positions:

1.) Deputy Head of School (Expatriate – Ghanaian):

Should have a minimum Qualification of Masters degree in Education.
Should have a good qualification in Montessori and Early Childhood Education.
Should have nothing less than 10years experience, out of which 5years must have been spent in a managerial position in a quality Montessori School and Childcare Centre.
Should be an aggressive, goal getter and have good quality to market a new school.
Must be a highly creative, innovative, resourceful and motivated Child Care Professional.
Must be passionate about young minds and want to play a part in their development and education.
Must be able to organize, coordinate and maintain the centre and its programmes for students to learn and be cared for.
Must be able to build a Professional Supportive Management that will adjudge the centre – “A Well Resourced Centre”.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.
Should be Computer literate, as the school is an IT driven school.

1.) Centre Supervisor/ Nursing Services Coordinator:

Should have a good certificate and qualification as a Nurse.
Should have a PGD in Health Education or a degree in Business Management.
Should have nothing less than 8years experience, out of which 3years must have been spent as a Nurse in a reputable School or Childcare Centre.
Should be a lover of children, very observant to identify and arrest or manage crises.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.
Should have effective leadership and supervisory skills.
Should have the ability to oversee and direct centre staff, parents and families.
Should have the ability to liaise with various stakeholders, authorities and organizations.
Should have the ability to manage centre’s daily operations, budget, income and expenditure, etc.
Should have adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices.
Should have flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work and would be a resident staff.
Should be computer literate, as the school is an IT driven school.

2.) Club Administrator/ Technical Instructor:

Should possess a Masters Degree or at least a Bachelor of Science plus an Education Certificate.
Should be a talented young man that will administer the Recreation/Technology Club and run the Children’s Technology Workshop, Day Camps and classes for children from 4 to 12 years.
Should teach Robotics, Video Game Design, Animation and other creative technology tools.
Should be IT savvy, creative and proactive; able to work independently.
He will be the After School Care Lead Teacher; versatile and talented in various subject – area programmes such as English, music, special/vocational education and mathematics.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.
Should have flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

3.) PR/Marketing Executive

Should have a minimum of Masters of Business Administration (MBA) plus a degree in Marketing or Journalism/Mass Communication.
Should have nothing less than 8years experience in Marketing, with 3years Media Experience; a skilled writer/editor.
Should be an aggressive, goal getter and have good quality to represent the school.
Should handle the Marketing and Public Relations, serving as the Centre’s Chief Public Information Officer (CPIO).
Must be a highly creative, innovative, resourceful and motivated in publishing school Magazines/Newsletters and covering Events.
Should have the ability to strengthen the visibility, brand reputation, on-line student recruitment and recognition of school as top to prepare talented students for creative careers.
Should handle the school E-Commerce, effective on-line presence and update the content of educational programmes.
Should have the ability to generate/oversee programmes and teams that run marketing/ communications and advertising programmes globally.
Must be passionate about young minds and want to play a part in their development and education.
Should communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience with fluent/good diction.
Should have flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.
Should be computer literate, as the school is an IT driven school.

4.) Lead Montessori Teachers:

Should have experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
Should have 5-7 year experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
Should have coursework or a degree in early childhood education, child development or a related course.
Should have impeccable references and a proven track record of caring and nurturing children to provide them with a great start to their educational careers.
Should have the ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
Should have flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.
Should be computer literate.

5.) Montessori Teachers:

Should have at least a Diploma in Montessori Education in addition to a first degree
Should have at least three (3) years experience as a Montessori Teacher in a reputable Nursery and Primary School.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.
Should be Computer literate.

6.) Special Skill Teachers:

Local Language Teacher (Yoruba, Igbo & Hausa).
French Teacher
Music/Dance Teacher
Robotics
ICT Teacher

Requirement:

The minimum qualification should be a first degree in the relevant subject.
Should have at least 5year Experience as a Teacher in a quality and reputable nursery and primary school.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.
Should be Computer literate.

7.) School Nurse:

Should have a good certificate and qualification as a Nurse.
Should have a degree in Health Education.
Should have at least five (5) years experience as a Nurse in a reputable school.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

8.) School Finance/Admin Officer (SFO):

Should have a first degree in any of the social sciences, preferably Business Administration and Accountancy; a Chartered Accountant – an advantage.
Should have good inter personal relationship, good communication skill, with good diction.
Should be Computer literate.

9.) School Secretary:

Minimum of B.Sc. or HND in Secretarial Studies.
Should be very fast with a good knowledge of Microsoft office. (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc.).
Should have good organizational skills.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

10.) School Nannies:

Should have a certificate in Nursing.
Should have at least 3 years relevant experience in a reputable school.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

11.) School Chef:

Should have a certificate in Catering.
Should have at least 3 years relevant experience in a reputable school.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

12.) Assistant Teachers:

Should have a National Certificate in Education (NCE) or OND.
Should have at least 1 year relevant experience in a reputable nursery and primary school.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.
Should be Computer literate.

13.) Childcare Aids

Should have minimum of OND/ND.
Should have at least 1 year experience as an Auxiliary Nurse.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

14.) Childcare Cook

Should have a certificate in Catering.
Should have at least 1 year relevant experience in a reputable school.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

15.) Centre Dry Cleaners

Should have minimum of OND/ND.
Should have at least 3years dry cleaning experience, preferably in a school.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

16.) Drivers

Should have minimum of OND/ND.
Should have at least 5years driving experience, preferably in a school.
Should possess a valid Nigerian driving licence.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

17.) Childcare Janitors

Should have minimum of WASCE/ NECO.
Should have at least 1 year experience of janitorial services, preferably in a school.
Should have a good communication skill, with good diction.

Remuneration

The remuneration for the above positions would be very attractive.
