In those days, there was no internet. But, then, there were no internet services unlike now. You have to admit that the world is heavily dependent on the internet right now. If the internet shuts down, everything will be affected

It wil definately affect some sectors.

Money will be lost but life will go on and on and even on.

it is impossible. The internet was designed as a means of communication that cant be shut down all together.

Service can only be limited but you cant shot it down since it is a decentralized network.

I as an individual will not be affected because a number of activities I do that doesn't demand use of internet but it will paralyze the world economy.

Hmm, trust me alot will happen, online systems for businesses (ticket booking, different trades, etc), information sharing, online students, online stores and consumers shopping online (you've not taught of stay-at-homes who do grocery shopping and other living essentials)

I can't just begin to imagine. Internet is not just about nairaland or Facebook or 2go or twitter or LinkedIn or... But these ones are essentials nonetheless.

Please oo. I never want to imagine "no Internet". "no light" Is enough problem on it's own.

The Internet cant go down. The Internet is not just one switch. Networks linked together. You can say what happens if google goes down for three days... and that is not even possible, cos google have servers spread all over the world.

I doubt it as all ISPs have redundant links which would trigger when there is disruption in routing. Ever heard of EIGRP, ISPF, IS-IS? For the sake of argument, however, global economy meltdown is imminent if Internet is down for 72 hours since communication is critical to economy emancipation.

No internet for 3days.. Then there will be:

1. No bank transactions for that 3 days
2. No ATM will work
3. No digital television for those days
4. Telecommunication activities will be down for 3days i.e no call and no sms

in short, life will be so boring and lots of things will be down most especially in those developed countries but in naija, we can even survive it for a month( we wil jst tag it INTERNET STRIKE, afterall, we are used to it b4)

We the Africans will be okay. But the whites! some will faint and panic!
