Candidates who participated in the recently concluded University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN 2014/2015 post-UTME screening exercise which result was released some weeks ago have been high and thinking what is their chance of admission, and their anxiety is getting a hold on them considering what they read on many websites and social networks on the internet.

Candidates who are awaiting the release of the primary admission list of UNN for the 2014/2015 academic session, but before that, we receive a lot of e-mails from candidates who want to know if UNN has released the departmental cutoff marks for 2014. And some aspirants are also asking when will the school management released the first batch (merit) admission list; or is it out already? they ask.

Authoritatively, I can tell you that the UNN departmental cutoff marks for 2014/2015 admission is out

Although the list is out, it doesn’t mean you will find a list of collated UNN Nsukka departmental cut-off marks somewhere on a webpage in the internet. No. UNN doesn’t do that. If you think you really need to know the cutoff mark of your prospective department, you may need to go to the department to get it i.e. if the department is willing to release it. I heard some prospective students do not care about the unn dept. cutoff points, this group of people need to rethink. We advice candidates who are able to visit the school to find out their cut-off mark to GO!

If you cannot go, and you have someone who is in the school or close to the school and they can help you to find the cut-off mark, then call them. You just need to have at least, an idea of what your prospective departmental cutoffs is. Well the reason why you need to know the cutoff of your department is because it may help you to ascertain why you may or may NOT be admitted into the University.

Secondly and more importantly why you need to know your departmental cut-off, it would help you to make wise decisions during ‘shopping’ for supplementary admission. Armed with the various departmental cut-off marks (especially for the courses that will be advertised), you will be able to choose a course that you’d most probably get, given your scores. (I’m saying this in case your name doesn’t appear on the merit admission list, bu that is not your portion- whose then?).

Has UNN Released the 2014/2015 UNN Merit Admission List?

On the issue of whether or not the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN 2014/2015 Merit Admission Lists of various departments have been released as speculated by many. Yes, the Admission list is out, but it is in the custody of various departmental head, so it is not officially OUT yet.

When the departmental head Approved the lists, it will be uploaded on the school official website and on one of the national daily newspaper. Some Aspirants have gone to their various departments to inquire if their names are on the lists, as am speaking with you now, most of the aspirants know their admission status already.

If you are living close to the school and you are curious to know your admission status, you can visit the school and head straight to your department; on the other side, if you are not living close to the school, no need to hurry, wait for the official release and publication of the admission list.

Important Notice to all Candidates;

To be qualified for Admission into University of Nigeria, Nsukka for the 2014/2015 academic session, you need to have scored a minimum of 180 or above in 2014/2015 UNN post UME. If you went below that, don’t bother buying the supplementary form for that would be waste of your money! (Remember I warned you ) UNN 2014/2015
