Abia State Is 23 Today: Any Reason For Celebration? by G51Apostles: 11:13am On Aug 27, 2014
Today being August 27, Abia State is 23 years old having been created in 1991 by General Babangida's administration. Looking back at the journey so far some people are of the opinion that the state has some reasons to thank God at least for security which is the most important factor for development but no reasons to celebrate.

Others are of the view that the state has remained stagnant in terms of infrastructural development after its creation apart from what it inherited from old Imo State government under Dr. Sam Mbakwe of blessed memory.
Dear Nairalander, We know so many states like Adamawa, Delta, Edo, Jigawa and Osun etc were created in 1991. So let us rate them using "Excellent, Very Good, Good, Pass or Fail" as well as compare Abia State to them in terms of the quality of life of the citizens, the provision of infrastructure and social amenities.

Common on Peeps, what are your thoughts?

The state has been ridiculed with bad leadership since it was created out of Imo state in 1991.
