The senator representing Borno Central at the National Assembly, Ahmed Zannah, has claimed that Bama, a town in Borno State, has been taken over by Boko Haram. He accused the Nigerian Army of putting out false information to the public, which claimed victory over insurgents attempting to take over the town.
What does Sen. Zannah know?
Senator Ahmed Zannah, some months back, asserted that the Boko Haram militants may begin selling the kidnapped Chibok girls. That was prior to the announcement made by Abubakar Shekau, leader of Boko Haram. Similarly, Sen. Zannah was the first to state that Boko Haram may begin spreading to parts of the South. It was just days after his announcement that a bomb was discovered in a church in Owerri, Imo State. Shortly afterwards, about 400 alleged Boko Haram members were discovered in Abia State. Thereafter, a bomb went off in Apapa, Lagos.
The senator has also said that Boko Haram is more equipped than the Nigerian Army.
One begins to wonder, just how much does Senator Zannah knows about Boko Haram if he spends most of his time in Abuja?
