African Media Initiative Essay Competition On Hate Speech 2014

Categories
1. Article or Blog – 1000 words max
2. Poem – 1 page max
3. Video Clip – 5 minutes max
4. Cartoon – 1 page max
5. Photograph – 1 entry per person (can include a photo series)

Each week from August to November 2014 we will showcase selected entries on our website. Be creative and have fun with it!
This contest is open to all nationalities.
Anyone one aged 18 and above on October 1st 2014 can apply.
The contest is designed to shed light on the impact of hate speech on the continent and to encourage and promote better protection against hate speech online and in the media.
Entering the contest has been made as simple as possible. All you need to do is email your entries to amlf@africanmediainitiative.org
