I am yoruba. and as most of you know, it is culturally desirable that yoruba men marry early. At 31, I seem to have flopped a bit, cos I presently don't have a real girlfriend and am being stalked by a 200level booty call. My problem now is I am scared of going home to my parents and grandparents and to explain why I am still single.

I sincerely wish I could settle down, I am relatively comfortable financially although my career still requires I specialize and that has been my excuse, deep down I know thats not true. I hardly go out to the right places where I can get to meet wife material and my booty call distraction doesn't help matters.

Its so bad I got off the phone with my grandfather and I heard him, after he thought I had cut the call telling my grandma that if he asked about my girlfriend, I would feel offended.

Is anybody going through or has gone through this before?
