Oya, classic lovers come on out. Share pictures of the oldest vehicle you've owned. Don't be afraid to share as some of us are automotively matured enough not to feel that new is better. I share these pictures, not my cars, of what is possible. Oya, tell me how Nigerian i snot ready for this and armed robbers will remove the transmission while in motion

Daimler 1989 3.6 (Imported from Japan over 10 years ago) Still waxing strong day by day, the engine, gearbox still original. Spent alot on air-conditioning unit to keep it colder than Antarctica, spent a few bucks on the bodywork, to keep it rust - free etc etc etc I love my Jag................ |

Nice thread from my bro. The oldest cars I've owned are: 1969 BMW 1602. 1975 Ford Mustang Coupé. 1981 Audi 80 GL 1.6 Auto. 1981 Audi Quattro Turbo. 1981 Audi Coupé GT 1.9. 1981 Toyota Carina Estate. 1982 Volkswagen Golf I GTI. 1984 Volkswagen Beetle 1303S. 1984 Renault Fuego Turbo 1.6. 1984 Audi 100 Quattro 2.2. 1985 Peugeot 505 2.0 STI. 1985 Toyota Celica 2.0 ST Liftback. 1985 Audi 100 CD 2.2. 1986 Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9. 1986 Toyota Celica Supra 2.8. 1989 Volkswagen Golf II GTI. 1989 BMW E30 325i M-Tech II Sport. 1990 BMW E30 M3 Convertible. Some of these aren't classics in the real sense, but to many Nairalanders they are ancient. These were just a few of my early cars. My current oldie is a 1995 Audi A4 Quattro Sport, with a 4.2 V8 swap from a 1999 Audi S8. 1 Like |

I inherited a 504 Salon car from my dad. It was a rugged car and i enjoyed it while it lasted. Unfortunately she got burnt up during one of the religious riots in the North in 1991. 1 Like |

Two of the oldest. Pic #1 1959 Austin, I could never prove that it was one of the first 3 that came to the US though I tried based on the research I did. Before I could get started the original owners family made me an offer that I couldn't refuse so off it went to them. They sent a air conditioned self contained trailer to pick it up. Sold for over N2 million Pic #2 1961 MG B, I bought this to harvest the power plant and especially the conversion kit. The power plant was a modified GM V6 with a professional conversion kit worth N600,000 alone. Sold the shell to a die hard autoist who was going to bring her back to her old glory. The things that I do for the Queen of England. Siena, you guys should just knight me for my services to the British automotive industry in the colonies. Sir. CityNG...hmmmm...I like the way that rolls of the tongue

yungboss: Current oldie,1993. Nice. Needs this $99 M3 bumper "E36 M3 Style Front Bumper Details Gives all non ///M E36 cars the look of the E36 M3. Conversions that lower the look of the car and add an aggressive appearance are what people are looking for. Take out the bumper (Doesn't matter if you have an M3 or a non-M E36!) and replace with our bolt on bumpers. Bumpers are made of polypropolene, same material as OEM. PP gives a ridiculous amount of flex to the bumper and are body shops favorite to paint."

Oldest car? Hmmm...that must be a beloved 1989 suburban first driven by my dad. I get nostalgia overload every time i see one roll by....The differences between it and my present 'chariot'; an '03 ford focus are like night and day. Attached picture, though mirror-image-similiar, is not mine. 1 Like

That would be my 1989 Toyota Camry, been a reliable companion since 2005 when she was bought, everything still working just few oil leaks which is characterized by car of its age. And lest I forget air conditioning still works(hasn't been refilled) that's we Nigerians always argue that Toyota is the best., though a fan of merc. But my dream classic would be the 1996 or 1993 Toyota supra and 1985 merc 's 500 sel or sec. 1 Like

The Supra of that era was an iconic automobile of it's era, especially the turbo variant. Shagari model Mercedes is another car on my bucket list. Though I'v downed a few but I never really had them long enough to enjoy them as they sold quickly. I never cared for the 2 door SEC. |
