KingAzubuike:

It might grow but it won't fruit. Stop wasting your time. These are not tropical crops.
You should have asked the variety and stop and concluding, and ask the pattern

My friend, to get an apple seed to sprout in less than a week anywhere in the world is no doubt a great achievement. I am happy baby! I have the joy of planting my own apples and even giving to friends and family, that's enough for now.

You come late bros. I have planted it in Agbor, and Illah, and Asaba, currently in Sapele where am experimenting grapes, Strawberries and Carrots with onions [/quote]

Why don't you visit the Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Ibadan? If apples can be grown here I'm sure they will know about it.

Also, I'm aware that there is an area called Gembu in Taraba or Adamawa state where some Nigerian big men have apple farms. Heard that the place is cooler than Jos and they do experience snowfall some years.
on spot ,bravo

Apple is not tropical at all. You should easily grow this. Each tree needs to be at 3 to 4 feet before you put it outside at least. Start the tree in a green house for some time transplant with some top soil and compost. Use a tie a straight stick to trunk as root system matures. Its not like planting corn or other plants that will grow with little maintenance. Need to water plant if dry and need to plant on a gradient to prevent puddling.
