kilokeys: while all u said is reasonably true.. ill say

Nigerians are wicked ( bosses and employees )

why r employees wicked? why would they poke thier flat noses into thier bosses personal life?, why is thr office a chit chat corner? why r the utilities abused?

answer : its Natural.. e dey blood

why r the bosses heartless, ? why do they underpay? why do they poke into ur affairs and ask stupid family questions?

two reasons
1. its a Nigerian thing

2. An average American did odd jobs while growing up. they worked in eateries, cleaned windows, worked in stadiums and got paid. Hence, they understand the term " dignity of labour".

an average Nigerian running a company.. has never served another. either cos of family money. or they suffered to get to that point.. hence, they feel superior, hold plenty plenty meetings to talk thrash. intimidate everybody..

@op.. i don wake.. thanks for keeping my space

Nzecorneboy: Good or bad boss, to b an enterprenuer stil d best

Everyone in Nigeria and indeed Africa can't possibly be Employers of labour like 'MORE' people are in the developed world. This is Africa and surviving from day to day is difficult owing to the impoverished situation.

@OP: This situation is most prevalent in the O And G sector, trust me i ve experienced most of your examples first hand and i'd say i'm better for it. I once had a Boss who asked a fellow colleague and in my presence too!, if 'His umbilical cord was tied to the office/department'. The lad couldn't dare do a response in as much as he would have craved. A few months down the line he jolly well moved to another organization with a much fatter pay cheque!!!

In the end 'THE SUPPOSED' bad boss made him work harder towards moving on to a better pay day!

RuudNisterooy: These things can also be learned from alternative sources other than the bad boss.

I don't think anyone deserves a bad boss. Some of them are ''career killers''.
My point exactly...real "career killers"....U really do not need a bad boss to contribute to d productivity of an establishment. You can learn with a boss that is willing to assit you grow career wise not a boss that will make your everyday stay at work hell on earth.

If you love hardship. If you enjoy hardship, then u need a bad boss. There is nothing good to learn from an inseneitive and stingy boss. Period.
Re: 10 Reasons Why Everyone Needs A Bad Boss by Nobody: 10:47am On Sep 10, 2014
Nonsense!
I have had only one bad boss all my life and there was nothing to gain from him.
Rubbish.
I don't function well in such conditions, u spend ur time trying to avoid scowls instead of innovatives, learning, etc.
Bad blood.
