Dear Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, when you were around we called you: The BAD one. The SLOW ONE. The SICK ONE. Yes, you were sick, in fact, sick all through your administration. We all cried for your resignation at the height of your sickness. Cursing you, your first lady and your supporters (The first set of Cabals). Asking you to die if you want to die and allow the man with all the Goodluck in this world to lead us.

We forgot that even though you were sick, you were the first Governor to have ever declared his assets publicly and you remained the only
President in the history of Nigeria to have ever declare his assets publicly.

We conveniently forgot that even though you were gravely sick you were the first president to ever reduced the price of petrol in Nigeria,
(From N75 to N70 and later from N70 to N65) and the economy did not collapse like the present leaders are making us believe. You even
reversed the sale of our refineries.

We forgot that you didn't afflict yourself with your sickness and so could do very little about it. But we still insisted that you just have to go,
so that Nigeria can finally have her chance with Goodluck.

We forgot that even though you were terminally ill, you still succeeded in solving the Niger Delta crisis which you didn't cause, but you found a
solution. And even crushed d first Boko Haram uprising and caught its leader.

You gave us rule of Law, Ameachi reclaimed his mandate as Rivers governor, Andy Uba lost in court and was removed as Anambra State's
Governor. Oni lost in Ekiti and was removed, Agagu lost in Ondo and was removed, Osunbor lost in Edo and was removed even though they
are all members of your party (PDP).

Now we have seen what a healthy president has done with the country.
His Excellency President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua,
may your Soul Rest in Perfect Peace.
We will forever remember you and your leadership.

It is the tradition of nigerians not to appreciate 'what they have until they lose it'.. I am sure that after the tenure(s) of Jonathan, ppl will stil say the same thing when they compare his administration wit his successor.. GEJ is really a democrat nd he is trying relentlessly to fix nigeria where it is suppose to be but ppl are too blind to see it now.. I hope your eyes will clearly opened to see it someday.. GEJ is the man! Support him

He had a good heart with good intentions; its so bad that his body failed him when he was needed most.

All the same, I'm against his decision to reverse the sale of our refineries. I actually thought he wanted to revamp the system and revive our refineries. If he had allowed the sales, the refineries may have been functioning perfectly now, creating more jobs.

Anyway, we're still optimistic, we may get it right one day.

Very well articulated! Jesus didnt last due to evil cabability of human. Yaradua never dance to OBJ tone despite that he made him prsidency, not even his tribe. What was important to him then was development of the country and unity. OBJ will be the last person to give militant amnesty likewise every other president except one with God fearing. May his soul rest in peace. The valuable tree doesn't last long int the forest.

Amnesiacs!

Eulogizing "Baba Go Slow" who reversed the few commendable reforms OBJ left in place. He wrecked what would have been a less political costly route to reforming the fuel subsidy regime and stalled OBJ's power reforms including the NIPP program (imported components for the power plants were purposely left at the ports incurring huge costs while Mai Gida was looking for phantom missing money (while ignoring thieves like his Missus , Andoakaa and his unqualified economic adviser - Taminu who were all making out like bandits right under his clean assets declaring, oblivious nose). The dude stalled the country and then reversed us back to the evil 90's.

Abeg, make we talk better thing. Very soon someone will write about all the good things Lawrence Anini did.

That's because we don't recognized their goodness unless they die. There are many good men whose efforts haven't been honoured some which are even leaders. Remembered the saying "We never appreciates what we have unless we lose it".
