Vintage: The Igbo Cultural Support Network (ICSN) proudly presents the 11th Annual Iri-ji (New Yam) Festival, at the Oakington Manor Hall, in the London Borough of Brent.


The Iri-ji festival is celebrated at different times within the various Igbo communities, varying from August until October every year.

Date: Saturday 18th October 2014

Venue: Oakington Manor Hall, Oakington Manor Drive, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 6NF

IRI-JI/IWA-JI,IKE-JI(New yam festival)has always been free,it is an ancient culture of ala IGBO that would never die, but the truth is: Those blaming them for gate fee/ticket, pls remember that that place is not ala Igbo, and as such there would be cost incurred, like rent age of hall,food etc,and those saying that they can eat yam free should remember that London NEVER GIVES YOU ANY THING free,so pls let's support our kiths and kind,wish them a happy and successful event, those who can't make it there should pray and bless the event, though I would have loved them to take masquerades, NDEWO NU OOOOO.

So, how will it be paid for then? ICSN has done this event every year..........It costs alot of money to do it, especially in London.

It irritates me that Nigerian always want something for nothing. Nigerians are not beggars or people receiving charity.

With an event of this size there has to be a gate fee. We are holding this event in London, the city where cost of everything continually rises. Don't even get me started on the venue price LOL

Thankfully ICSN over the years has built a large network of extended family, friends who always come together to ensure this event as well as others continually to be successful.
