See this one.
Igbos own more Lagos propertied than yoruba

Deluded chest-beater. You "own more Lagos properties than Yoruba" are "45% of the population" and "control the Lagos economy" yet you keep begging, pleading and trying to play "'beautiful bride' when you should be firmly in charge of the game? Does that make sense to even a senseless individual like you? When will you tell Igbo politicians in Lagos to grow some balls and walk the walk by presenting themselves for the highest office in the land so you can prove the mythical figure delusional people like you bandy around idiotically?

What would be easier than for an Igbo gubernatorial candidate to emerge and take advantage of the "45% Igbo population" of Lagos? See how the conduct of Igbo leaders reveal the patent stupidity of the "Lagos is no man's land" lie and empty 45% braggadocio now shaming noise-makers like you? Are you guys now not thoroughly discredited and appearing like empty braggart giving how you still kowtow to the Yorubas you tell us you have overtaken population-wise and wealth-wise? When you are 45% of the population, then the Yorubas should be about 25% given the other ethnic groups in Lagos also. Not so? Then why is big-for-nothing 45% (Igbo) pleading for a piece of the action controlled by 25% (Yoruba)? Is politics no longer a game of numbers? is it no longer true that "majority carries the vote"? Shior.

I'm in support of this. I think its will be nice to have an igbo vice in lagos provided the igbos in southeast can consider anoda tribe for the post of just a commissioner and not even deputy gov.

Y1bos have been day dreaming since the days when Lokoja was still the capital of Nigeria.

Despite their mouthed 95% Lagos population and 200% ownership of Lagos, they are still begging 5% for political post. Wonders shall never end!!!

Daftness is indeed generational.

What a 'dense' girl. I guess everything stated flew above your head thus your foolishness in once again repeating the "45%" garbage. Just admit you are deluded and now stand disgraced as emptily impotent braggarts and don't give us the "civil" bullcrap. Sadly the hateful and emptily braggart antics of many Igbos in cyberspace under the GEJ Presidency, malevolently and exclusively targeted against the Yorubas who accommodate and host them graciously, has now piqued the awareness of even the most liberal and laid-back Yorubas to the extent many feel it is time to call a spade a spade and tell deluded and mindlessly hateful folks the truth about themselves they deny and try to hide with ridiculous chest-beating which is now being discredited daily. If you are 5 feet tall and keep claiming you are 12 feet tall, in an attempt to ridicule an 'enemy' who is 8 feet tall, then why not extend your arm to grab an apple on a 14 feet tall tree when challenged to do so? Should this not be the easiest thing to do given your claimed height? Why are you begging for a ladder?

Even if you empty the last Ibo man in all the Ibo villages and hamlets into Lagos, it will be a wasteful venture.

Lagos is just far too deep inside Yoruba territory to take on another identity.

Another ill-exposed mumu failing to see what matters. Are Nigerians not even influential politicians in Nations they or their parents migrated to outside Africa? It is humility and the ability to love, respect and embrace the people around you that makes the difference. If this is the case, and as some examples prove already, the Yorubas are probably the ethnic group most prepared to trust power to non-indigenes who have proven themselves.

When you make your attempt to gain power a "chop sand" exponent of ridiculing others and satisfying a feudal and primordial lust to lord it over them, instead of integrating with them so that they trust you and consider you someone who will act in their best interest always, then you are on an exercise in futility and 'bridge burning'.

This is what will continue to fly above the head of those, like you, doomed to work with a "them against us" mentality even in situations where it is obvious such an attitude is destined to ensure you will be viewed as a people to be resisted rather than trusted with power. People like you never see what is obvious. Will you allow an 'enemy within' to lead you or is it that people are more comfortable with foreigners who integrate humbly and patriotically with everything/everyone in their environment to the extent their loyalty and goodwill towards others cannot be questioned?

Given the feudal and pugnacious approach of Igbo behaviour and talk lately, occasioned by the false sense of security and 'ownership' the GEJ Presidency has given them, I say 'goodluck' to you guys after you have now gone public with your hate of Yorubas/Hausas/Fulanis et al which has now shown them you still operate, even decades after the civil war, with the misguided mentality of subjugating others rather than integrating with them.

This historically unresolved bad belle against others is what gave rise to all the "we are 45% of Lagos" plus "we control the economy Lagos" and "Lagos is no man's land" false and feudalistic statements you would never make if you truly respect and appreciate your host.
Instead many of you fully commit yourselves to hating, undermining and opposing your host while speaking in ways that reveal the vengeance in your hearts. Your approach is always anchored around that of a hostile takeover, rather than humble rapprochement and bridge-building, as your silly "blood pressure' utterance illustrate here. Once again, I wish you guys 'goodluck' in your obstinate, vainglorious and futile attempt to do things the most difficult way via alienating everyone and being mindlessly divisive.

Noneroone: Are u actually pleading that Igbos shouldnt contest for positions in lagos or do u mean it is unlawful?

Non of the above. Any Igbo who is truly Lagosian and accepted to be so, beyond ethnic lines, by other Lagosians is free to contest for lofty Political office. Such a person should defer humbly to every ethnic group that constitute the electorate and his/her character and history should show he/she be ready to serve them without fear or favour.

It should not be about disrespecting the real strength and influence of non-Igbo stakeholders, who are the influential majority by far in reality, while blackmailing them with some ridiculously false and bogus population and economic 'supremacy' statistics you are always bragging about yet not willing to utilise when challenged to do so. The Igbo who will be Lagos Governor or deputy will be one who deserves that position when the time, bridge building, affiliations and cordiality is right and not one who will gain it through the blackmail and threats of those who are prone to over-estimating their own importance, ability and strength because they assume they appear better than others by doing this.

MayorofLagos: If all the Ibos in Lagos were to vote for PDP, APC would still emerge the winner of the election. This is because Yorubas population in Lagos more than quadruple Ibo population.

If Ibos truly want to prove that they are political bloc to be taken serious, APGA, the Ibo party, must field a Ibo governorship candidate for Lagos and then instruct all Ibo to vote APGA. This is a sure way to become governor in Lagos if it is true that Ibo control the economy and population of Lagos. Im sure everyone know that APGA would be 4th in position behind LP.

This is Yorubaland and we can prove it at the next election with this simple alignment.

Ibo is afraid that everyone will discover their irrelevance in Lagos, otherwise the APGA is their best route to executive position in Lagos.

This kind of diplomatic error is the kind that has harmed the Igbo political outlook over time and what is sad is that it is no one doing it to them but themselves
Re: Give Us Deputy Governor Slot Or Forget Our Votes- Igbo Leaders Tell Lagos PDP by coolscott(m): 1:57pm On Sep 16, 2014
I think this attitude is what has single handedly hurt the political outlook of the igbo ethnic block within Nigeria over the years.

No one has done more harm to their political outlook than them by being this way.

How can this be the way to win friends and improve your influence amongst people?

The use of terms like 'slot', 'give us', etc already reeks of blackmail and conspiracy. I see nothing but Nepotism, plundering, proliferation and profligacy coming out of this. In a civilized democracy, votes are rights to be exercised and not bargained with. To what end do you want this position? Where is your manifesto? Where is your track record? A translated Yoruba adage goes, "A dressmaker who offers to sew you a garment should have a good one on himself". What have the Igbo nation made of their homeland? They should begin charity at home before offering to export it. I have met a crop of quite industrious, amiable and intelligent igbo folk but unfortunately they are a minute fraction of the lot.

Studying them in the microcosm of a compound I once lived (where we had all three major ethnic groups of Nigeria represented), the igbo occupants gave the hugest amount of problems to all co-tenants and even the landlord...and contributed the least to developmental issues....cant go into gory details here. In the bigger picture, i am quite traveled (within and outside naija) and the absolute worst airports I have seen in my life are in their states.

I would advise them to synergize their claimed resources, expertise, and population into creating an economically, technologically, infrastructurally and politically viable region. I dare them to make another 'Lagos' in the south-east. Then they can talk and we will really listen. One cannot argue with results.
