I want to buy a bicycle so I can ride to work, cutting off the t.fare and in the process exercising.

Bobo, don't kill yourself. Lagos is not a place you can be riding bicycle on the main road. If you want to do exercise, register yourself in a gym session.

It is not a good idea to ride bicycle on lagos main road, I believe you've heard the word hit and run before?
