please I use Nissan maxima 2000, and it seems the fuel consumption is high. it uses like 10 LTS from Maryland to agege. I have changed the brain box, airflow meter and even the engine it self still same problem. pls adv.

What standard have used to determine that your car consumes fuel. If the standard was correct am sure you have a service engine soon on your car. Go scan your car so as to pinpoint the exact cause for fuel consumption. A fault code would be given to you. Post them here.

my yard stick for measuring the fuel economy as I have said was that I work in ojota area and live around agege, I buy fuel of N1k at Mobil filling station Maryland bus stop and before getting to mosalasi alhaja at agege , it would have gone to empty. with or without hold up. I have Honda baby boy v6 too and whenever I buy same fuel same filling station, th fuel will take me to orile agege and back to my office at ojota.

I ran a scam before changing the engine, but I don't have the result with me anymore. then they were saying different things and I kept buying them until I decided to buy another engine to solve the problem at once.

may be I will run another scan on it again then post the result here. thanks.

Why are people alwys so quick to change an engine when ever a problem persists in a car. I am very sure the people who ran the scan for you didn't know how to interprete the codes rather they prefer you to throw monwy around. You even went as far as changing your engine. Well can I get answers to these questions

1) is your car a 6 cylinder engine or 4 cylinder
2) is there black smoke coming out of your exhaust
3) whenever your car is parked over a periods of time or while moving do you percieve fuel smelling around
4) is your exhaust leaking
