My G.F no be d type of al dis Broke girls wey dey talk trash , All what she craved for is an undiluted/true love. How many ladies that are from Broke families think about TRUE LOVE in a relationship nowadays. Nah, But what i sensed is that it is at a guyz advantage if a lady fall in love with you and av feelings for a guy than for a guy to fall in love with a lady
(am talking of ladies from a wealthy family o ,she fit kill cow for you, all they need frm any guy either you are broke or rich, is care, and love) .

Getting the so-called rich girl is not exactly a walk in the park. If you can get one, guess you're in the luck. Just treat her like the queen she is or you'd like her to do and she'd treat you in kind. But again, getting them aint easy. True Dat.
Re: Dating A Broke Guy(my Experience); Is It Worth It? by Nobody: 6:48am On Oct 01, 2014
i particularly know of a lady who broke up with her fince because he was broke and settled for a wealthy guy.... A few years later when she was married to the wealthier guy, she usually saw her husband home at 5pm or 6 depending on when he finnished work but on a particular day, he was working really late and the lady got worried and decided to go check her husbands place of work to knw what kept him. On getting there, she walked into the company's premises, called her husband on phone and he asked her to come into his office..... On getting into the reception area, on the wall were three picture which were that of the president of nigeria, that of the delta state governor and in the middle, was the picture of the broke fiance she left because of his financial status. On seeing this, she went to her husbands office and asked who owned the company and he called the name of her ex fiance who she dumped because she couldnt be by his side in his most trying times....... now, the wealthy man she married was a Personal assistant to her broke fiance all thanks to the business he was saving up for while they were dating.... He started by selling palm oil on small scale which barely brought him any gains but gradually his hustle expanded and kept expanding until he moved into oil and gas..... She could do nothing but weep for not standing by him in his times of trial.....

i just hope you know that you shoul never judge a book by its cover.... The said poor man that turned a rich business tycoon is a friend to my uncle who is also into oil and gas.....

An honest broke guy with potentials to get employed or be self employed in the nearest future is a million times better than guys that flaunt wealth be it through borrowing, crime or spoilt children from rich homes, or even fake guys who lie and form rich guys all to gain access to a ladies most prized asset and latter dump her, if you seek a financially stable guy be one yourself and be careful not to fall for those who deceive all to use and dump but truly, true love does not care much about that all true love want is loyalty, hardwork, love and tenacity to make of in life through legitimate means and never give up attitude. Both a guy and lady must try to earn a living.

OlamiB: I Just don't know why broke guys wants to have a girlfriend too, before you start complaning let me quickly tell you am actually dating one shocked

Guys jump into conclusion that girls don't want to date a broke guy simply because he has nothing to offer financially, but this is not true in all cases, a girl that loves you sees you in her future like her husband. She wants the best for you cos she sees you in her future, a girl can date a broke guy but no girl will intentionally marry a broke man.

I love my broke boyfriend because firstly am not dating him for financial reason and 2ndly because I see a bright future in him, but one thing remain, I can't marry him if he continues being broke.

I have stopped condemning girls that doesn't settle for less, there are so many disadvantages of dating a broke guy namely:

*talk about a boring relationship; when your female friends are going places with their rich bf, you are just there lying on his bed staring at each other's faces in his heated room.

*your friends will not respect him; by the time your female friends get to know about his brokeness the respect will just not be there anymore, girls love each other and they want the best for each other.

*he will always disgrace you; yes! This is most annoying, a little amount of money will cause fight between you two, imagine asking your broke boyfriend to at least present himself in a wealthy way to impress your female friends by buying provision or something for them will make him tear you apart.

*he commands too much respect; this is funny, even rich guys that can afford to buy expensive things for their woman doesn't command as much as him, I guess this is done so you won't disregard him.

*he will naturally look stingy to you ; imagine asking your broke boyfriend to help you with #500 when he himself already has a plan for the only #1000 left with him, this is ridiculous because by the time he decides to impress you with 2000# you won't just be feeling him anymore.

This is just a few of what I can remember now, guys should note that their being financially okay brings a kind of hapiness to their girlfriend/fiancé not only because of what they will enjoy from you but because they see their dream being fufilled through you, you live in the best house, drive the best car and all tell me if ur partner won't be proud to show you off.

I love my baby very much but as little as 100# can cause a misunderstanding btw us. God knows the kind of joy that will fill my heart the day he will be financially ok.

'it takes a real woman to date a broke guy and help him fufil his dream'

All this is written from the sadness of my heart.

I guess some guys don't understand me, I am only asking the guys to be rich for their own good not because of a leech girlfriend/fiance. Nigerian men are quick to insult any girl that comes here to talk about money in a relationship. I am not after my Boyfriend's money or anything, his happiness is mine also and I know he will be happy by the time he is financially ok to cater for all his own needs and beyond.

If you become financially successful it is your name that will be known not your wife's name talkless of a girlfriend, that is why I used Dangote and ADenuga as example...how often do you guys hear of Mrs dangote or Mrs adenuga? Is it as often as both men? NO! And in case the woman is as sucessful as the likes of omotola jalade, ngozi iweala their man is as successful as them.
I understand ur pain undecided it isn't funny at all,but then ‎u should not let ur friends relationships get in ur way.As far as he loves ‎u and won't break ur heart just work together and see things change for good then those ur friends who hate him cos he was broke will try to snatch him from ‎u.Ur destiny is different from their destiny

Lafmaoocheesycheesy

But this poster just said the mind of 99% of Nigerian ladies (both the rich and poor ladies, all of em hate broke guyscheesy) so nairalanders should not cruicify her pls...she's even honest to open up when others would form Ms Independence while hating on broke guys and running away from the so-called broke guysgrin

And to those advising the op to get a job, make her own money, etc...its still the same o cos most single Nigerian ladies earning good income or from rich family don't date broke guys, in fact they don't even reply their hicheesy talkless of datinggrin

Best advice: guys work hard, pray, (if possible ignore women for d time being) and make the money first. You don't need to be Dangote or to even have up to 5million naira to be the king.

Just have a decent and steady source of income, dress well, get nice apartment and you are the king to rule over Nigerian women of all age and class.

Don't waste time fighting them online or arguing that y must they prefer or love only financial stable guys...cos u are wasting your time; get money or die whiningcheesy

Una happy independence ogrin

MrDoGood: Relationship is NOT a job opportunity.

ladies take note.

The thing about Nigeria, is that her citizens are too poor. it's worse with women, since men can do things to make money but women don't have that natural advantage, all they do is bleep different guys all in the name of relationship.

I always advice my baby sister to get a good degree in engineer, medicine or environmental in other to save her selve unnecessary begging

OlamiB only poor ladies think like you do, and if you are poor why are you condemning him for being broke? If you are not poor, why not assist him to become a better person?
Ask your mum if your dad was rich when they first met and you would be surprised at what her description of him will probably be.

I believe couples should manage their inefficiencies one to the other, you do not expect a man to keep loving a woman that only loves him basically for money. When he now has money, he would treat you not different from a prostitute honestly, he won't respect you one bit, he would compare you with a se.x worker by believing it is only money he can provide for you.

What stops ladies from being independent? I don't know, I guess the orientation of African women is the cause of all this, your partner shouldn't be the only one rich, you should be rich too. Imagine in future, your husband is suffering temporarily from shortage of finance, what will you as a mother do for your kids? you will wait for him to recover?

My advise is that every gender should be financially independent, this would save a lot of stress. By this men wouldn't see ladies as prostitutes who just need money for sex.
Re: Dating A Broke Guy(my Experience); Is It Worth It? by Nobody: 7:18am On Oct 01, 2014
Lastly @OlamiB, u did so well by being honest with how u feel, ignore any attack on u.

But pls try and avoid comparing your boyfriend or husband in future with any other or those of your friends because there will always be a richer guy even if yours ends up rich.

If Dangote's wife start comparing, she would leave Dango for Carlos Slim, Bill G, etc...which will make her life miserable and unhappy forever, so just be happy for what u have and pray sincerely to God about your worries and ask for God's assistance.

To all the guys reading, know it now that virtually all women (let me say Nigerian women) want n dream about having a financially able boyfriend or husband, most just settle for the one they see out of no other option, so if u are broke, pls hustle, pray for God's help and don't think she's comfortable with your broke status; the truth is- she isn't! She is just managing you ocheesy

Rise up and be the man...you mustn't be rich...but be in charge of your financial life and you're the kingsmiley

Good points there, but how many Nigerian guys are really rich in the Nigeria of today? Out there are a majority of bobos who can't even get decent jobs to fend for themselves, let alone a gf. Now every lady on here keeps on yapping that they don't do broke guys when we all know the ratio of ladies to men in the country. They hate broke bottom boys, yet they know the sorry ratio of rich guys to the broke ones. If every girl runs to the rich guys, how many do they think they(the rich boiz) can accommodate, really? Same folks who can't even stand their guys making a pass at another girl...lol How ironic.
