Yesterday, we examined how mental intimacy influences romance in marriage.

However, today we shall be taking this discussion further by examining how financial intimacy impacts on romance.


IMPACT OF FINANCE ON ROMANCE
Few issues impacts on marriage like money does, in fact, some people say that 'there is no romance without finance'. This is partly because of its relevance to our daily family activities (rent, school fees, utility bills and the likes) and the vastly different views and convictions we hold on how money should be earned, saved, invested and spent.


MENTAL MODELS
It is a fact that most couples unconsciously duplicate their parents' financial habits irrespective of whether they were beneficial or harmful simply because as Albert Einstein puts it "imagination (mental programming and vision) is more powerful than facts".

ASSIGNMENT: Take a writing material and do what I call a 'financial thoughts audit'. Find out and align what you both believe about money because without a financial vision, the people will perish.
