A Newspaper publishing company is desirous of recruiting competent candidates for immediate employment as Editors.

The role involves managing:
- editorial content of the newspaper,
- ensuring the right mix of content in different categories
- managing a team of writers and advert executives
- ensuring deadlines for publications are met
- ensuring quality in the presentation of the paper
- working with PR team to get sponsorship of features


The Person
Should have strong passion for writing
Should have editorial experience in a newspaper or magazine publishing company
Have strong networks that can help improve the quality of the features
Strong personal motivation and drive is a significant advantage
Must have proven networks in Rivers State or among Rivers indigenes and residents
Being resident in Rivers state will be an added advantage

Qualification
B.Sc or HND in any discipline from a reputable University or Polytechnic.
Prior sales or relationship management experience will count
Prior Editorial Experience will be a very strong requirement

Skills and Competencies
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite.
Keen business acumen and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage and drive a team of writers, creative talents and PR executives
