When Barrack Obama first declared his intention to run for President of The United States sometime before the
2008 elections, many people did
not believe. But the 'Yes we can' slogan soon swept across not just the U.S.A., but the entire world. Yes we can! Because Barrack Obama talked about
issues that affected citizens of the USA, both black and white(like the Health care issue) and so Americans
voted for whom they believed would
deliver. Even some of the majority ' white' districts of the
USA, voted for Barrack Obama without regarding any racial(or tribal)
or personal differences but because
they could see that based on what they needed at the time, Barrack Obama was the ' man for the job '.
Each country has her peculiar
needs. Here in Nigeria, each state have their peculiar needs.
So come 2015, what kind of Government do we need in
Akwa Ibom state? Some will say things like, Accountability,
Transparency, Integrity........ others
would say Equity, Justice....... And they're all-right! But what is most urgent in Akwa Ibom state right now,
is Industrialization to provide jobs
and business opportunities all around us. And anywhere in the world,
industrialization is run by the
private sector. And Since
we do not have that private sector in
Akwa Ibom state, then we need a government that can attract these
foreign Investors. We have the raw materials to establish manufacturing
industries, fishing industries, palm
kernel/oil and cocoa for exportation etc... The Ibaka seaport must be
delivered....and so on....We just
need a government that can attract these foreign Investors, a governor they can trust.
It should be very obvious to any
reasonable person that in order to deliver the Industrialization that we so
much need in Akwa Ibom state,
then, come 2015, you must vote right in other to see the change you want.
