The World's Top Most Haunted and Cursed Items #1: The Dibbuk Box This box has had more history than could ever be described in this article. A Dibbuk box is a wine cabinet which, according to Jewish folklore, is said to be haunted by a restless, evil, spirit that is capable of haunting and possessing the living. And it did just that as it made its round on ebay and eventually a museum. The story is so horrifying that it inspired a movie called “The Possession”. #2 : Annabelle the doll This creepy doll so made a cameo in a movie, and no it’s not chucky that comes later. The boy in the painting was said to actually enter the room where the painting hung, and everyone who viewedthe painting reported feeling sick and weak. Small children would take one look at the painting and run from the room screaming. Adults sometimes felt like unseen hands were grabbing them, and others said that they felt a blast of hot air, as if they had opened an oven #4: The Myrtles Plantation Mirror Myrtles Plantation is an allegedly haunted bed and breakfast that is largelyconsidered to be the most haunted home in the United States, as well as oneof the most haunted houses in the world. The plantation dates back to 1796, and it was built on a Native American burial ground. Additionally, it is rumored to be the location for at least ten murders, and paranormal events are an almost-daily occurrence.Legend claims that the mirror contains the spirits of Sara Woodruff and her children. The Woodruffs were poisoned to death, and though custom dictates that mirrors should be covered after death to prevent spirits from getting trapped, this mirror was not covered, so the belief is that the Woodruff souls are very much present and active within the mirror. #5: Haunted Wedding DressThis dress once belonged To Anne Baker, a woman who never lived to see herself get married in it. #6: Haunted Chairs of Belcourt Castle Belcourt Castle was founded by Oliver Hazard Perry Belmont, a wealthy American socialite and politician, in 1894. There are many different documented hauntings within this lavishhome, but perhaps the most famous haunted objects in the castle are two chairs that reportedly have spirits attached to them. Visitors who sit in the chairs say they immediately feel cold, queasy, and uncomfortable. Their hands feel like their pricked by static electricity when held near the chairs, and many people have claimed that they've felt like they're sitting on someone when they attempt to sit in the chairs. Several visitors have actually been ejected from the chairs by an unseen force. #7: Haunted Doll This is another haunted doll that inspired a movie; you may know it as “Child’s Play”. Though this doll was not possessed by serial killer, it was an evil doll. Given as a gift by a voodoo priestess to a little boy, it would seem that the woman didn’t like the family because through the dolls time there it terrorized the whole family. #8: The Women of Lemb StatueNicknamed "The Goddess of Death," The Women from Lemb is a statue carved from pure limestone that was discoveredin 1878 in Lemb, Cypruss. The item datesback to 3500 B.C., and is believed to represent a goddess, similar to a fertility idol. The statue was first owned by Lord Elphont, and within six years of having the statue in his possession, all seven ofthe Elphont family members had died from mysterious causes. #9: "The Anguished Man" This scary-looking painting was kept in Sean Robinson's grandmother's attic for twenty-five years before he inherited it from her. She had always told Robinson that the painting was evil, and the artist who had created it had used his own blood mixed with the paint, and had killed himself shortly after completing it. She claimed to hear voices and crying when the painting was displayed, and to see the shadowy figure of a man in her house, which is why she locked it away in the attic. As soon as Robinson took the painting into his home, he and his family started experiencing the same kinds of creepy phenomenon. His son fell down the stairs, his wife felt something stroking her hair, and they saw the shadow man and heard crying.Frightened, Robinson soon put the painting down in his basement, but he is not interested in selling it.

#10: The Cursed "Chair of Death" In 1702, a convicted murderer named Thomas Busby wasanonymous about to be hanged for his crimes. His last request was to have his final meal served at his favorite pub in Thirsk, England. He finished his meal, stood up, and said, "May sudden death come to anyone who dare sit in mychair." It is said that throughout the years all who have set in it have died. I guess its best to take curses seriously. #11: The Basano Vase This fancy little vessel; made of carved silver during the latter half of the 15th century, is the object of Italian folklore that continues to frighten and inspire. Itshistory is foggy at best, but is believed tohave been made as a wedding gift for a young woman in a northern village near Napoli. She is said to have either died or was murdered on her wedding night, clutching on the vase as she passed away. It was then passed around to family member to family member, causing death in one form or another until it was boxed and hidden away from sight. #12: The Hope Diamond The infamous Hope Diamond is likely themost noted example of crystal-like curses. The large, blue diamond when it was stolen from a sacred idol in India, for which holding a curse of misfortune and death to anyone other than the prescribed guardians, who touched it, letalone anyone who would steal it. Its perfect quality, size and its rare color make it unique and sought-after, though it is also known for its sad and deadly history. Once owned by King Louis XIV, and later stolen during the French Revolution, it is remembered for causing tragedy for its owners throughout its freedom among the rich and powerful. #13: The Crying Boy The famous ‘Crying Boy’ paintings, notably those by the Spanish artist Giovanni Bragolin, also hold on to legends as curses and hauntings. As far back as the 1950s these mournful images of crying children have had manylegends attached to them, even so far as to actually weep, apparently causing tears to drip from the canvas. In addition to these rumors, these paintings have been blamed for various misfortunes to the owners, including house fires and unexpected deaths.

#14: Delhi Purple Sapphire The Delhi Purple Sapphire has had an equally wicked history. According to Edward Heron-Allen, a scientist and personal friend of Oscar Wilde: “This jewel is accursed and is stained with the blood, and the dishonor of everyone whohas ever owned it,” or so said the last owner of the beautiful gem. Though many people consider this rare gem a purple sapphire, it’s actually a large amethyst. Edward Heron-Allen offered the gem to the London Natural History Museum in 1943 claiming that it was indeed cursed, causing grief and loss to his family and himself. #15: The Florentine Diamond The Florentine Diamond is a massive 139karat, amber-colored diamond that is also associated with a long line of infamous deaths. Of the most famous deaths, or at least a listing of the most famous misfortunes are seen in the dramas of Queen Elizabeth I of England, King Faruk of Egypt and Maximillian of Austria, notably that of King Louis XIV and Mary Antoinette, the jewel’s ill intent can also be seen as the cause of Archduke Ferdinand and his wife Sophia’s assassination on 28 Jun 1918 in Sarajevo, thus igniting World War I. Though only coincidence for many, the fact that Sophia was wearing the stone at the time only fuels inquiry of a paranormal kind.

most are locked in glass casing.. heard some haunted item do not act outside their enclosed casing then some of the spirits occupying the items needs to be owned by an individual to act.. but the likes of Annabelle the doll does not have boundaries that's why its still in the home of the warren's cos they are exorcists |
