NOW IS YOUR TIME - NIGERIA!
The clock is ticking, days turning into weeks and weeks turning into months
Old age coming, grave coming even more closer than a friend
Now is the time, we have waited for it and here it is
Our enemies, with their hands on their cheeks, watching to see what will become of us, our friends with mouth agape, folds hands on what has befalling us
Now is the time to win the war. Babies becoming orphans while mothers turning widows
Green represents life while white is purity but our soil has turned black like charcoal while our waters have turned red like blood
Churches burnt, houses evacuated and cities captured
Boys slaughtered and girls kidnapped, but now is the time
Time for a change. 54 times have we tried but no headway, no progress
But now is the time,time for a new face and a new song,
time for a new Nigeria
United we stand, divided we fall. This is just about that time
Time for real independence, independence from insecurity and corruption,
independence from unemployment and poverty
I hear a sound of victory, sound of abundance of rain
Songs of freedom sang by our daughters and their expectant families
Its time to put our enemies to shame, if the lord be for us, who can be against us?
Let us together put our hands on the plough and see the bountiful harvest
Lets utilize our wisdom and see the beautiful and glittering gray hairs
Lets work together and see how our house will be put in order
54 years is enough to learn from our mistakes and make a change
All the resources needed for this change has been provided for us long ago
Lets make adequate use of them and become the great nation which our great God has destined us to be
Nigeria! now is the time for your change
