Nobody Can Stop Fayose’s Inauguration –mark by Ayed44: 6:33am On Oct 03, 2014
The President of the Senate, David Mark, on Thursday said notwithstanding the recent developments in Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose would be inaugurated as the state governor on October 16.

Mark stated this at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, at an event where Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State formally defected to the Peoples Democratic Party from the Labour Party.

Fayose had been in the eye of the storm lately for allegedly leading thugs to beat up a judge in the state.

The state Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, has tabled before the National Judicial Council a petition accusing the state’s Governor-elect and the police of complicity in the attack on judges and court workers in the state last week.

Justice Daramola, in his petition to both the NJC and the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, accused Fayose of leading a large number of thugs, who disrupted court proceedings, beat up judges and court workers and also tore court records.

There is also a pending suit by a group, the E-Eleven, seeking to stop Fayose’s inauguration on the grounds that he was impeached in 2006 and that he swore to an affidavit denying that he was impeached.

But Mark said in spite of all the antics going on in the state, Fayose would be sworn in. http://www.punchng.com/news/nobody-can-stop-fayoses-inauguration-mark/

If Ekiti people wanted APC, they would have said so during the Election, "APC had been kicked out" so rest your case.

Still, that doesn't change my opinion. Ekiti people should fasten their seat belts for the worst ride of the lives.

So unfortunate for David mark. Where is rule of law? Why killing our institutions, if Fayose is found guilty, he should be prosecuted immediately.

So unfortunate for David mark. Where is rule of law? Why killing our institutions, if Fayose is found guilty, he should be prosecuted immediately. Our leaders are very quick in siting USA federal system when it suits their own needs. In USA, can a governor elect bahave like this without facing the law? The answer is No. So if we are copying the USA, let's copy government system, let copy them all.

but fayose has not be found guilty. Since fayose has not been found guilty, in the face of the law he is innocent and the swearing-in ceremony must take place.

Have you ever seen where a defeated state governor harasses the governor elect?
APC is joking, since they couldn't stop him from being elected, they can't stop him from being inaugurated.

Reading through d different comments posted, it is unfortunate dt we fall for the politicians divisive tendencies EVERYTIME.

Who says its a PDP/APC thing?

It was tribal sentiments then with Stella Oduah now its political with Fayose.

Same script diff characters...when wl folks who fling insults ovr nothing here evr learn.

This is an issue bothering on or otherwise the contravention of the RULE OF LAW n it should b allowed to take its course.

Watevr is syd abt Fayose NOW is pure allegation until his culpability is established.

The day WE STAND to face the TRUTH in the RULE OF LAW, we stop to FALL for politicians BAREFACED LIES be they PDP or APC!

The guy is right unless majority of the present law makers are kicked out also. If they eventually come back under apc and they are not bought immediately then he will continue to have bigger challenge.
