The popular view that stomach Ulcers are caused only by excess acids, stress, and absence of food in the stomach is loosing favor, while these factors are still culprits in most cases, it is now obvious that a host of other factors at various times and under various conditions give birth to stomach ulcers. Here are the key players in most cases of stomach ulcers. Either one or a combination of these factors are responsible. 1. Too much refined or packaged food 2. Insufficient protein in the diet, protein buffer for the stomach q. Improper diet. e.g Too much coffee, tea, tobacco, caffein, all stimulate excess acid production 4. Highly seasoned and fried foods stimulate excess acid production. 5. Excess sweets and beverages, such as sodas, and soft drinks 6. Too much sweets with no protein buffer 7. Acidocis: excess acid or decreased mucus production 8. diminished levels of hydrochloric and gastric acid, sometimes due to age 9. stress: Upsets normal digestive process 10. constipation, gastric stresses, chronic purging 11. Indigestion – reflex of bile 12. alcoholism, low blood, 13. iron deficiency anaemia 14. aspirin, steriods 15. Parasites 16. Food allergy 17. Too much Sugar
