Who was EMMANUEL MAWUYON?1. He was
the son of Elizabeth Ekundayo, Papa
Oshoffa’s elder sister2. He died, but through
the power bestowed upon him by our Lord
Jesus Christ, Papa Oshoffa raised him from
the dead.3. On rising from the dead he
immediately received the holy gift of prophesy
and thus became the first prophet of Celestial
Church of Christ.4. It was through him that
the divine revelation came that we should not
use wine for Holy Communion, but rather a
mixture of pineapple, oranges and coconut
milk.5. It was he who gave the injunction that
we should worship with 7 candles and it was
he that also drew the design of the candle
stand.6. It was he who gave the description
of what we should use for collection during
services and named it PAJASPA – a metal
ringed pouch with a handle and a socket for
a candle which should be lit during the
collection.7. It was he who indicated how in
heaven a pot of incense was being swung
and being accompanied by the songs Yah
Rah Sah Rah, Yah Rah Sah Mattah AND Yah
Rah Mah, Hi Yah Rah Mah.8. It was he who
revealed that we should build a box which
should be called MATTAH. He revealed that
the box should be placed in the high altar and
should contain the cross and stick which
symbolised the covenant Jesus Christ made
with Papa Oshoffa as well as the 7 candles to
be lit for the service.9. It was he who revealed
that the song our Lord Jesus Christ was
singing in Gethsemane garden shortly before
His death was “Yah Gol Lah Mari Yah Nga Rih
Yeh, Ya Gol Lah Mari Yeh” We sing this song
during the watch night/New Moon service in
commemoration of this occasion. We also
sing it during Easter at the watch night
service of Holy Communion.10. He later
became the Evangelist of Celestial Church of
