There are a whole lot of Infiniti fx35 on sale of late. Is there a reason for this?

I think that they are selling because they kept getting beaten by V6 Sienas

Because they connected the fan directly, added hear oil to the CVT transmission ,used a 20w50 oil and removed the thermostat.

When owned a QX4 infiniti, I still trumped and squashed 4runner V8s and sequoias, and siennas so easily. Infiniti tend to follow Beemer's school of thoughts, Acura seem to do same with Audi's because of the quattro vs SH-AWD, and Lexus tends to lock with Benz very soft supple ride (except now adays dey wanna go sport by using push start buttons on even their full sized trucks and im like WTF! sports on a bush crawler? ).


Well back to the infiniti ish. Its prolly because the owners can keep up with the jarring ride and overly firm suspensions which can dislocate every bit of bones in a human body when that CUV is running fast coupled with the useless potholes which do no justice, the cramped interior, the maintenance schedule and rituals to keep a sports SUV, its parts unavailability and price tag when eventually seen and the gas guzzling nature of the V6.

But the biggest reason is because guys are upgrading to FX37's and FX50s'es (sic)

Its Nissan's luxury division. Just as Lexus is toyota's luxury division.

The most common fault it has is bubble dashboards. A scenario where bubbles starts forming on the dashboard fascia developing cracks and unsightly scene. Its remedy is to cover the dash with a fancy woolen mask, or a leather mask or even a new dashboard.

But hey, even lexus RX350's ES 350, IS, and toyota Camry muscles develops melting dashboards, bubble dashboards, flaking, peeling, scratching, cracks on their dashboard.


Two advices I'd give based on the dashboard:
1. Don't wind up all your windows totally, leave small gaps for escape of hot air, use an aluminium dashboard/windscreen cover or even a car cover fabric, and park in a cool shaded area when not in use.
2. DON'T use any chemicals to clean the dashboard. Use only water and mild detergent to wipe off dashboard when necessary.

OK guys I was wrong about the CVT transmission in the FX I thought Nissan will put the same system in their luxury division.

Most owners of SUV really can't accept the fuel cost on some especially with CEL on.

With the Nigerian mind set a lot of people can afford to buy these vehicles cash but find ownership tasking they have to keep up with trends so you buy a car to resell in 2yrs. Our parents use to keep them a lot longer.

How many drive their Range Rover for 4 years.

Thats what happens when young guys get out there bout last 3 years down to 2, to buy a car in vogue without really needing or able to maintain it.
Very soon, the issue here wn't be far from that of Range Rover Sport.
That's if it hasn't started already.

But there hasn't been any serious mechanical or electrical fault specifically related with the InfinityFX35, so i think if the problem is Maintenance wise then those with the Sedan V6 of any Toyota product should be in serious deep sh1t, because it sucks for a Toyota Sedan to carry a V6 engine.

The major fault with a FX35 are the bubbles on the dashboard due to heat which is common to most black interiors and also the rubber bushing of the control arm gets broken(can be changed) which gives a cracking noise when u bump into a pot-hole.

FX35 is a lovely beast to drive especially if u are a lover of fast cars (speed kills tho). for the past 4yrs i've been driving my 2006 FX35, no regrets at all buying the monster. Ensure u do ur regular servicing as at wen due.

parts are expensive, no doubt abt dat, but come on, if u can afford to buy the monster then u can afford the parts and also to fuel it .

electrical problem, No serious one except my powered seat stopped working which can be fixed.

you can go for FX35 or FX37/FX50 if u want a more recent technology. The beast is lovely.
