Computer Science and Engineering is the only department in Faculty of Technology that does a departmental course at part 1 level.

You don't have any departmental course. There's nothing like CHM 105. What you have is;

CHM 101 - Introductory Chemistry I (4 units)
CHM 103 - Experimental Chemistry I (1 unit) i.e. practicals

You're gonna do both.

Pharmacy students don't have space for electives in their first semester part 1, they have enough workload which consumes the maximum 24units, the breakdown for your courses;

CHM 101--4 units
PHY 105--4 Units
MTH 105--4 Units
ZOO101--4 units
BOT 101--4 Units
ZOO103--1 Unit
BOT 103--1 Unit
CHM 103--1Unit
PHY 107---1 unit

TOTAL 24Units.

But you'd have enough space for electives in your second semester.

You'll offer both Chm101 nd 103...Chm101 is introduction to inorganic chemistry 1, its just your normal secondary school stoichiometry,% composition, equilibrium and the other parts of inorganic chemistry,just a little bit advanced(not advanced in real sense) and some slight addition to what u did in secondary school. If you're smart and diligent, you can't have any prob with it,while chm103 is the practical aspect of chm101 which is just your normal sec skul titration. Once you and you lab partner is smart,90A won't be an issue(my highest score so far is still chm103...had 97 & my partner had 96).
You ain't gonna do any departmental course for now, your first departmental course will be in part 2 second semester, though you'll do MSE201 in first semester part 2 but it's a faculty course anchored by your department.

Its not a must you do your course registration before resumption, as a matter of fact, I'll advice you get to campus before doing it, though you can always change it anytime before test. And to all freshers, I'll advice you do it when you get to campus and make sure you do a print out of it, eportal can be funny atimes as some department may tell you you didn't register for their course,so your course registration print out would be your evidence, a roommate had that issue last semester, no thanks to the fact that he had know print out evidence.
