A serving corps member was reportedly attacked by locals in Langtang local government area of Plateau State.
Below is the statement of one of the fellow corps member who raised the alarm on d incident and how they have always been under incessant attacks several time without the State NYSC doing nothing about it.

the areas in langtang local govt in plateau state
that was bucther by some indigenes, one of his
eyes is damage and one of his hand,
Nigerians please come to our rescue, please kindly
start making calls, sending mails, text messages to
the nysc director, the president of the federal
republic of nigeria, senators, national chairman of
political parties, governor of plateau state, major
generals, generals, bridgade generals,
commissioner of police, head of the civil defence,
pro chancellor, vice chancellors, rectors, ASUU,
ASUP, NANS executives, SUG executives, the
president of CAN, head of the MUSLIMS, traditional
rulers, and othe stake holders, corpers in langtang
local govt plateau state needs redeployment back
to their various states.. we are serving in fear..
we want to go back to our various states "thats
our cry"

That is not the issue here. The problem at hand is what i believe we should all condemn. It can happen to anybody.

Its known in Plateau state that though the Langtang man might be fun loving, He is actually quite susceptible to fits of anger.

There is yet no evidence that the OP's account of events is true but for corp members posted to Langtang, caution should be your watchword, enjoy the friendliness of the locals but don't take anything for granted
