If you call Davido ‘man of the moment’, you wouldn’t be that far off mark. Carting in nominations for all the prominent award shows this year so far from City People Awards, NEAs, BET Awards, MTV Awards, Ghana Music Awards (all won) as well as Channel O Music Awards, MTV Europe Awards, MOBO, Future Awards, The Headies (still pending), the OBO himself is fast on his way to becoming Man of the Year. The nominations for the 2014 Soul Train Music Awards have been announced and guess who’s on the list again…..Davido! Nominated in the Best International Performance category for “Aye”, he goes head to head with the likes of Machel Montano , Nico & Vinz , Sam Smith , Shaggy , Ziggy Marley for the award.
