The Head of the Hausa Community in Lagos, Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos, Alhaji Sani Kabir has revealed that northerners in the South West have arrested more than 1000 members of the Boko Haram insurgents in various parts of the region.

Kabir disclosed this Thursday in Abuja when the Arewa Council of Chiefs in the South West visited the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN).

He said the arrests were made at different times, adding that those arrested were Boko Haram members who fled from the Civilian JTF/military onslaught on the insurgents in the North East and those who came to the South West to further the insurgency.

This is community policing at its finest form though it seems some people here on this thread are not happy with the arrests though I'm not surprised since its an open secret that the boko haram is the military wing of their coven

Security is the collective responsibilty of every body including you and me. Putting the blame blame and leaving security soley on the goverment and security agency will never be propper.

lagos has the most vigilant citizens in the country. . even if the police doesn't do their work, they'll do it for them (lynch)
