Okay, right now I'm becoming sentimental.

While I reckon that this is not the full statement, the holes I found are still glaring.....

But I'd rather preserve my relationship with you (passive albeit) than go ahead and lay down my arguments, I fear they might result in a war of words.

Let's just say I value my image of you more than the need to be seen as "right" and wouldn't mind leaving this thread right now, to preserve it.

Thanks for your time Ma'am.

“I was about to go to Kaduna this morning and I told the Chairman but he said in that case, you better pick your form and keep a straight face that means there is no excuse,” Mr. Buhari said.

She omitted that part.

It means the peoples general dint go to kaduna to sign any document or meet with the bank, according to him, the transaction was done by phone.

Obiageli, you disappointing me again.

They rather resort to insult, I am yet to see any of them address the point.

The truth is Buhari just trying to deceive his followers.

I had no shoes- GEJ 2011.
I took bank loan to buy APC nomination form. Buhari 2014.

Buhari is dishonest and will make him loose some supporters ( sane people ) and not fooolish, blind bigoted once on nairaland, a man who has ruled Nigeria as head of state, and with other position wants us to believe he has no 27 million to pick up nomination form. Whatever be the reason. It was a miscalculated attempt by the general.

Fayose raised about 45 million from supporters it worked in his favour, and the peoples general went for a payday loan by phone.
Electorates are wiser now.

This is the kind of scrutiny we need

Buhari is a fraud who has mastered the art of using proxies to cover his dirty deals!

He tried to do that again with this bank loan but got found out!

He was smart by half on this occasion!

Bro, I actually feel embarrassed for the clannish fans of GEJ and how they miss what is incredibly obvious. . I must say I am shocked by the spectacular lack of intelligence TANdroids and Jonathanians are displaying. Is it not obvious to them what they are doing in the desperation to blacken Buhari? You mumuish olodos do not even know your own Country and people !!!

What got GEJ into Aso Rock in 2011 if not the "boy with no shoes" ruse Nigerians bought hook, line and sinker in their millions? Many Nigerians voted for GEJ because they connected with the idea he is a modest and ordinary man, just like them, who would be able to identify with and fight for the average Nigeria.

Now you cretins are actually sabotaging your corrupt messiah (GEJ) and giving GMB free "boy with no shoes" publicity through your obsession with attacking him over taking a loan to pay for his nomination form. Nigerians, even better than the "boy with no shoes" ruse, will simply see GMB as "man with no money". They know that Buhari, LIke OBJ, IBB Abacha, Danjuma, Atiku and GEJ, was in a position to steal massively plus build hilltop mansion and bank billions of dollars. Yet Buhari had to struggle to pay an amount that local government chairmen in Nigeria give their mistresses to go shopping in London. Now, desperate olodo Jonathanians, tell me how this will resonate with Nigerians? TANmumu jokers, all this garbage you are writing is for the bitter, educated Jonathanains like yourself. The average Nigerians on the ground will love that Buhari struggled to pay, for his form, an amount virtually all your leaders carry in the glove box of their cars to settle the praise singers they come across daily.
Tanoids have traded their sense of reasoning...

Hope you realize people like Dangote still take loans? Don't fool yourself

Loan is not a bad thing, but there are different kind of loans. Taking a loan to start a business is a creditors debt/loan which is good because it would yield more money and eventually payoff itself. Taking a loan to marry a wife (or for a birthday party) is a debtors debt/loan. which is very bad because there is no guarantee that you will get the money back let alone have something accrue on it.
Taking a loan to get a nomination form is like taking a loan and heading to vegas to gamble, there is no guarantee you will win your party primary let alone the general election.
Even if Buhari win, how would he payback the loan, is it from his salary as president of the federal republic or is he just going to command central bank to payback. is the bank manager that arrange such a breath taking speed loan still equal to the remaining Nigerian or more equal than the rest.
Will the bank that release the loan for the purchase of a nomination form not be just below the central bank in pecking order and other banks below that bank if Buhari win.
There can be no rational justification for this loan.

1.Where in his statement did he say he collected loan for the nomination form? He said he called his Manager and instructed/pleaded that his cheque should not bounce.
Let me break this in a layman's term to you, it could be that the General has issued cheques to third parties, the nomination fee's cheque inclusive and perhaps money will be credited to his account soon.Hence, before the credit, cheques issued by him should be honoured irrespective of the balance in his account as at the time of presentation.Simply put, that does not mean he is broke or he cannot afford the form or he collected loan.

I find it sad that you call the General a bad Manager of resources.Where did you get that from? This is a man that has been prudent in managing our resources as both Head of State and Chairman PTDF.As a matter of fact the impact of PTDF is still felt today 13years after. You call him a bad Manager and two of our refineries were built under his management of less than two years, a fit the present Management could not perform in five years or more? Please carry out further research of GMB.
This is a man that has the interest of the masses at heart hence his stance not to overburden the already burdened masses.
See I have been in a Filling station and the General came in.It happened that one of the Okada guys saw him and started chanting and singing his praise. Before we could say 'Jack Robinson', his car was ushered to the pumps and contribution from all angle came up to pay for his fuel. You think the General is ignorant of the contribution of the masses? Again carry out further research on this man.

2.It is the height of myopia to conclude that the General is not productive.what gives you that impression? Is it because of the false interpretation peddled that he collected loan for the nomination form? Look not everybody is a show off.By demeanor the General looks fragile, simple and non bullish which should never and I repeat never be mistaking for weakness,You know the saying about the gentility of a tiger should not be misconstrued as a sign of weakness right?
This is a man that no single man can rub his integrity
in the mud.Having been in charge of juicy positions in the pass and not compromised himself like others, still he cannot go hungry because he is a farmer and his goodwill sell like pure water.

3.Lastly, you said the General is not a strategist? Sir I beg to disagree.Let me tell you a little story. When GMB came to power, do you know one of the things he did first. He changed the design of our currency. You know why? Politicians had stacked cash in their barns and latrines. This made the stolen cash useless as they could not take such cash to the banks for exchange. And you say he is not a strategist?
Go and ask of the strategy employed by GMB as GOC 3rd armoured div in combating the dreaded Maitesima(not sure of spelling) similar to Bokoharam today in the 70's and 80's.
My brother time will not permit but carry out more research and give change a chance.

This is very insightful.

With all his anti corruption hype, there is not one movement he is pushing to fight or expose corruption.

Taking a loan to get a nomination form is a sign of bad management decision. It is like lottery, since when did banks grant loans for lottery or any venture with a flip coin chance.
He would have raised the money from associates or at least part of his savings.
Is this the way he will be taking loans to solve national challenges? Instead of considering all alternative.

Buhari declared and next day, Boko Haram agrees to a ceasefire, what am I thinking?

The fact is Buhari is the Field Marshal of Boko Haram, his boys are asking for cease fire now to enable them concentrate on his campaign...watch what happens when he loses the next election again

Buhari’s exact words below, you might not necessarily have to tender an apology sis. Pay attention to the bolded part, he wasn't emphatic about a loan.

“But I felt heavily sorry for myself because I don’t want
to go and ask somebody to pay for my nomination
forms, because I always try to pay myself, at least for
the nomination.

“N27 million is a big sum, thankfully I have personal
relationship with the manager of my bank in Kaduna
and I told him that very soon the forms are coming, so,
whether I am on red, or green or even black
please
honour it otherwise I may lose the nomination.

Only sensible people can see the message in this quote of his, he wasn't asking his bank to give him 27 million naira loan, this is likely pointing to withdrawing more than what he has in his account, he could have up to 26 million in his account or even 1 million. people should use their brain for once. God didn't give you a brain to waste, he gave you a brain to think things through all the time.
