The Nexus 6 is here in all its giant-hand-required glory. If you aren't such a big fan of such a big phone, then you will be happy to note that the Nexus 6 will not be replacing the Nexus 5, with the Nexus 5 appearing right alongside the new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 on Google's Nexus site. And this is purely because of the Nexus 6 price.

Even more important than the continuance of the Nexus 5 alongside the new Nexus 6 is why: the Nexus 6 will begin at 649 USD! If that price makes you reel, then you can understand why Google is keeping the Nexus 5 around a bit longer: it is now the ''cheap'' Nexus. Whether the Nexus 5 will get a price drop when the Nexus 6 hits the Play Store (we doubt it) or not, there is now a very clear end of the days when Nexus devices were the cheaper option for specs hounds.

For everyone that had hoped for a 5.2-inch Nexus 6, you might just have to make your peace with an existing 4.95-inch Nexus 5. While you won't be getting the latest hardware there is still a Nexus for every hand size at least, and it will, of course, be amongst the first to pick up Android 5.0 Lollipop in late October or early November.
