Why don't you go and bring out such a candidate or is the job of anyone or your father to go and find such a candidate in the 19 northern states of Nigeria? If such a person prefers to do his business or job and not buy a form to aspire to leadership, is it the job of APC or your father to go and wake him up from his sleep and present him a candidacy form on a platter?

For years such people where they exist have been cross-carpeting from party to party, for a morsel of akara, dining with any party or individual who can promise them a piece of the national cake, then you forgot about today: the day of reckoning and accountability for public trust. If such a person cannot show Nigerians they can command a huge following not based on buying human beings as TANOids like the retardodaft president GEJ, then let them first go and build public trust and reputation for not being corrupt looters like Buhari and even if they have a religion from Mars, Nigerians will be disposed to give them a serious consideration.

advice for Christians.

please, let's save Christianity in Nigeria, don't let us repeat the mistake Turkey made, the land that was almost 100% Christians now 99.03% Muslims, (Google it) there are some strategic movement to make Nigeria a Muslim country so to be able to practice sharia in its full capacity, let's be sensitive, sharia, Muslim, Islam, Qur'an was mentioned tens of times in the Nigeria constitution, the word Christians, Christianity, Christ or bible was never mentioned once in Nigeria constitution, year 2015 means a lot to this Islamic sect, that's is why they made coming to power
in 2015 a do or die affair, if you still want to be going to church without one eye opened and the other closed while praying after 2015, let's us vote in a Christian presidential candidate. our religion is ours to protect. together let's us save Christianity.

Is it not a disgrace that Buhari is a presidental nominee for a party. This is one of the people who took Nigeria from being a respectable country to a pariah state yet people are clamouring for him.

people say you cannot thing an old dog new tricks.

Your postulation is totally wrong. Your perspective is patently faulty. Am a christian from the SW and i will never vote for such a ticket at all. Fashola is also not performance personified. The problem with those who see him as a performer is that a man who has been destitute of a home for decades would see a man that offers him a narrow kiosk made of polybags as an angel.

What parameters are u using to ascertain GEJ is the best. ..It is nigerians like you with very low expectations that kill this country..

u dare write about corruption. ..name 1 person that has gone to jail for corruption.

EFCC dead..CJN office dead...AGF office dead...

Nigerians are M.A.D.

can't you see...cant you see...can't u open ur eyes...

the only way we can change this country is change its self.
change govt every 4yrs...let them fear the people. ..
PDP..APC..PDP..APC...till they know we are not bleebing around.
ok, I agree with your proposition of: let's change govt every 4yrs, but pls, biko, ejoor, emabinu, doo, make we just allow Goodluck finish his 2nd tenure and see...subsequent governments must be 4yrs alone u hear?cheesy

But I repeat: Fashola is over-hyped!! He isn't as good as he is being painted!!

Most of the Nigerians I can vote wholeheartedly as president (late Prof. Chinua Achebe, late Fela O., late Col. Odimegwu Ojukwu, Late Muritala- according to my dad o, Late Maj. Okar, etc) of Nigeria are deadgrin...the few remaining ones are:

1. Prof. Pat Utomi
2. Wole Soyinka
3. Arch. Dr Alex Ekwueme
4. Myself or my able mothersmiley

As for Fashola and co, they have already lost!!!

You are funny so it's xtian brough peace to SW.

By the time the result of this religious wahala go manifest, that time even Yoruba muslims will cry and wish they could change a thing but it will be too late by then.
The kind of islamic practice the North want is not what Yoruba's have yet so the north is still trying to Capture them bye having more muslims among them. How many people get their hands cut as a result of SHARIA LAW in yoruba land?

a person of fashola will not encourage sharia no matter what, he is too enlightened to do that
and so enlightened were some muslim folks when they fanned the embers of sharia. Bin laden readily comes to mind.

Now, I'm all for quality leadership. I'm all for freedom of religion. I can and will give an arm and a leg for both. However, a muslim/muslim ticket is an emphatic NO for me. It is little more than having a south/south ticket. It is unfederal. Having such a ticket in a country that is divided along religious bend, will only spur further spate of unrest. History is no fiction. The gory civil war was not only precipitated by ethnic-dominated government but by religion-dominated government.
This issue isn't solely about how the western christians see a yoruba man who is a muslim. This isn't just about how the western christians feel or should feel. On the contrary, It has more to do with christianity in its entirety. What does the eastern, southern and northern christians think of it? Don't you think they have an equal say in the matter?

We should ask ourselves this sticky question:
"knowing the muslims folks as we do (pardon my derogatory tone), do we think they will stomach a christian/christian ticket?" obviously no sir. Obviously no. So, why do we think the christians are such a sissified sort garloof who woudn't oppose a muslim/muslim ticket?

Muslim/muslim ticket is one that shouldn't and must not be brooked. It is good enough the constitution prohibit state religion; for obvious reasons. Muslim/muslim ticket may not mean adopting islam as the state religion but it might serve as a breeding ground for it. The recent attempt to islamise Nigeria by BH in north rings through.

If this ticket stands, I can assure you we will be perched on the edge of a skid if they, APC eventually take a spin in the political chariot of the nation.

there are so much hues and cries about the volatility of all muslim ticket in Nigeria, as a yoruba xtian, i am bold to say that majority of my fellow yoruba xtians don't even know Fashola is a muslim. they see him as performance personified hence his being an achiever and intellectual is more pronounced than his religious inclination. the result of my findings and interactions is that SW is a wrong place to play politics of religion bcuz almost all families are evenly distributed along religious lines , hence they see you first as a yoruba man before your religion.
hence a Buhari/Fashola in the SW is seeing as North/Yoruba ticket and it will surely fly.

I agree with your "analysis". Ordinarily, we shouldn't be looking at the part of the country someone comes from (but their personality and make-up) when it comes to election. But in Nigeria, the reverse is the case. This is one of the very many issues confronting us as a nation and dragging us back.

My dear , you will not say this if a christian/christian ticket is proposed . For avoidance of doubt , I live in lagos and the work done by Fashola is not anywhere compared to the amount of money available to him . Most of the funds are stolen and press controlled by SW looks the other way . For instance , Amaechi said he used 1.4B to fight Ebola in Rivers ,an APC controlled state and the press found nothing wrong in it.Just like the Federal government has failed to provide power and security to Nigerians , Fashola has also failed to resolve the traffic gridlock in Lagos ,which is the major problem Lagosians battle with everyday of their life . There is more propaganda than performance in Fashola .

Waoh! Yours is the best today. I'm glad others are seeing the over-hyped Fashola govt for who he's truly is. N39bn monthly IGR, yet Lagos roads are in very bad shape. Armed robbery in traffic is now a common daily occurrence in the mornings and evenings. And they do it without fear...

When it comes to religion, Islam overrides enlightment. And if you know the agenda of Islam to override christianity all over Nigeria, by the time they give fashola the money and position he can never reject he will sell his so called integrity and enlightenment you are talking about.

The duo ticket is actually a prove that the Northern Muslim already has an hand shake with the South West Muslim to carry out their agenda and it will never fly.

Great reasoning! One of the best I have read on this forum.
This will be my first comment ever about a muslim/Muslim ticket. And honestly, it is an insult to Nigerian Christians. There can be no excuse for it. In a country of over 170 million people, there are many Christians who are well qualified to be on the ticket.
Just in case the proponents and supporters of this idea do not see how bad it sounds, let me put this in perspective for you all:
Can you imagine for a moment what a christian/Christian ticket will cause in this country?
oga shut up,let me lecture when its comes to politics u look at what will give u edge and numbers to win,our brothers from alaigbo we know them they reasons with their anus that why they use awolowo as a person who killed them during the civil war to campaigns in anambara elections,so if u choose rochas they will still not vote for him,so Muslim -muslim ticket I don't give a damm if they will give us the dividend of democracy nobody can ismalized Nigeria, not even Allah himself so park well

I am not just a Christian, I pastor a parish of one of the biggest Pentecostal churches in Nigeria. I belong to CAN, PFN and Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International. If APC fields Buhari/Fashola, I will not only cast my vote for the duo, I will make myself an automatic voluntary campaign manager for the ticket. I can't promise right now that I won't preach Buhari/Fashola as a message on the pulpit. Quote me and mark my words, PDP and GEJ automatically becomes the opposition the day the ticket is announced. GEJ is a christian just as I am, let somebody tell me only one thing that GEJ has done for me or for Nigeria that will earn him my vote in 2015. Head or tail, as for me, my family and 80% of my adult congregation of about 160, its Buhari in 2015 or no one else.

SamIkenna:

Just as there's no provision in the constitution that says Miss Universe must be canceled or an alcoholic beverage seller's merchandise must be destroyed or that Akaluka or Oluwatosin should die for nothing...list is endless.

Why are most, supposedly, Christians burying their heads in the sand in pretense? My consolation is that this BS can never cross Asaba let alone River Niger. I have no problem with any Nigerian who feels militant or extreme religiosity doesn't matter - its their choice. But understand some people feel it matters. Even in the US - ask yourself why US didn't take in many Iraqis when Iraq was getting hammered with smart-bombs? Any nation or people that fail to find a balance to competing forces is in for a shock. Nigeria is evenly divided, therefore to pretend that its only two muslem men fit for president and VP out of over 80 million Nigerian Christians is, to say the least, a joke.

I have nothing against all faiths but when it comes to submitting my right to adherents of Islam - nwanne, I'm not there yet.

Many developing worlds today are getting butchered every single day thanks to the rise in Islamic terror, and folks are saying we shouldn't care about the inclination of who leads us? No one is saying Muslims should not aspire for Aso Rock. What we're saying is that two Muslims can't go in at the same time in this day and age. Besides why does it always have to be two muslims going in? What about two Ifa worshipers, two Christians, two Ogboni members, or two Amadioha followers? Do you think Muslims will accept any of the above? Wake up people!

My advise to people canvasing for this insanity is simple: push your two Muslims into Aso Rock and watch us live the union in a heartbeat. Frankly, it will be a gift from providence that will unite Easterners like never before. I suppose I'm rooting for it in a weird way.
