Hybrid snail? I've not heard about that oo. Better go with the common ones around us because there is market for them. Anything different might be difficult to sell. I am waiting for the day when there will be 6 months broiler snail.

I don't think there is. But the price is ok because if u can raise 10,000 snails u get 500k. It's all about volume and you can also combine it with other businesses. There feed is close to free too.

I dont somuch think your assumption is correct.

A grown up snail sells more than 200 per one.

If you go to restaurants and other common places you will realize average price is high.

Selling on volume is key and you will definitely sell volume if you even make your price as low as 150.

Now take it this way. You have 4000 you raised in two years which you could easily, check the volume.

Snail farming is not a quick way to make money but a very sure way on the long run

Actually, I've not seen a big snail farm b4, but don't be suprise that there might be, but in one bushy area or so. Selling the snails won't be sth u do all at once, u may sell in batches. Right now I too is planning to set up a small snail farm. The ones I have now are in a bowl.

The major issue affecting people to involve in snail is DURATION. It takes up to 18 to 24 months for a snail to grow to maturity from the point an egg is layed. Most people aren't ready for that. Most people also believe it's a doll business party and as such, don't want to get along with it. But for me, the best is to have it along your normal farm. Since it doesn't require much attention and cost almost as zero to feed, tlyou can then get it along your normal farm activities before you even notice. Before you known it, it's a year, two, three or more

You can easily sell 4000 snails but u might not sell all at once. But its doable

Let me paint a scenario for you, how long does it take a fish to mature in the wild? About two years or so, now people that have fish farm harvest same fish in 3 or 4 months. The only difference is that they give the fish formulated feed. Same for chicken, and also same for snails.

The only difference is that snail feed cannot be bought in the regular animal feed shop.

If anyone is interested I'll send the feed to you at a price per kg. I'll not give out the formula here, so don't bother to ask. I can ship it to were ever you are in Nigeria.
