Former Chelsea manager Ruud Gullit, has rejected an opportunity to handle the Super Eagles, because of fears over the spread of the Ebola virus and kidnapping.

According to BBC, the Dutchman has been contacted to take over the African champions, after the Eagles’ remaining two 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.

However, Gullit might not take the job his agent claims it is “high risk”, especially with the upcoming elections.

“Gullit is not interested in coaching Nigeria,” his agent informed the BBC .

“His agent said the job is high risk. he spoke about Ebola and fears about terrorism in Nigeria and he said for those reasons, his client will not be keen.”
