I don't think people should meet him saying he is giving APL (something that is supposed to be secret).
I also do not think people should post their letters here, especially for a job that was not advertised. If you have info about any job, share to help people and If you can help, help them too.

If everyone keeps calling a DG for appointment letter, it becomes a problem and could even hinder chances of people who were already being helped.

People should generally approach these things with tact. Of course he won't tell anyone he is giving APL. Except the people that are already in the know.

I am certain if he gave letters, the SGF is aware and has possibly sent his candidates. All that vexing is because people are now bugging him for something that should be coded. Him sef dey use tact dey deny.

I also do not think collecting numbers of DGs and heads of agencies is a smart way to go about a job search. Unless you are forwarding it to someone who can help. Do not call an agency head you don't know personally, you could ruin your chances.


It is easier to even call your state senator and lobby him or your FCC commissioner.

These people do not enjoy being bugged for jobs. I understand, we are desperate, but again I would say, use tact to go about these things. Play your cards the right way.

Lastly (at least for this post): Nairaland is mostly an anonymous platform, information here is mostly unverified, try to get as much confirmation before approaching your connect, because if they use a faulty information to try and help you, they would be embarrassed. Try dey verify info.

On NCC I would say, follow up through your plug till you get your APL in your hand. EVC know wetin him dey do. Pressure is mounting on him from all that is going on.

U wldnt have blocked him. What if God touches his mind and he decided to favour u in ncc or other job. Do u know that sometimes unexpected opportunities do come and they will be looking for whom to fix.

You have spoken well. But you went too far by blocking him. For me, I just delete to avoid temptation to keep texting.
I have similar experience.... I stopped contacting him in 2020. After they employed 300 people but he was still using embargo as excuse. I think many of these men don't care about your story. Them no send anybody.
I had another experience with the former ES of Shipper's Council. He was a nice guy to be honest. We had good conversation. He promised me job in April last year but Omo... Here we are.
I think these people only listen to influential people. If you like be unemployed for 10yrs. They don't care.

But one thing that you shouldn't do is to give up. I might not understand that pain but just take a look at @Laura232 story.

She only submitted her CV with zero connection yet GOD performed his miracles. Omo! I laugh person way no fear and trust GOD.

How can you explain this sort of thing in that kind of Big Agency. It's just GOD. When man fail you turn to GOD and na still man GOD go use.


If you give up? You pin yourself in one place. So keep reaching out to people, Uncles, Aunties, Old Class Mate, Old Neighbors, Clerics and just about anyone.

Again, give to the needy and the aged. No say i no tell you. Just give them even if na 100, 50 & 20 naira... Give them as that's one of the best acts of religion. No go underrate anyone goodwill for you o.

I want to clear the air on some DG, MDs, and CEOs of Government Agencies who some of us said are not helping strangers.

see guys we have to be sincere with ourselves. These guys have lot of people disturbing them for Jobs. These guys have people from there Local Government, personal friends, families and even high profile people who disturb them for Jobs. Even those working in those agencies are not left out. it's not as if these guys don't want to help, but there are lots of people disturbing them for Jobs. Most times DGs only recruit maybe two times in a 4 year tenure and might not take up to 350 people. lots of people depends on them too for Jobs. it will only be a miracle for them to help a stranger who just call them on phone. Getting approval for replacement is not that easy, some DGs have to even bribe their ways for their recruitment approval. So don't blame anyone for not helping you.
