this has been a perturbing issue for me, the phrase 'you can win the battle but not the war'has been heard repeatedly in most of our nigerian movies and this has got me wondering what the difference between a battle and a war is,a friend said a war is a bigger battle but as far as i know no battle is small or big cuz they are all important to us,so place down your comments what do u tink is the difference btw a battle and a war

In a war you could have so many battles for a certain period of time , if u win a battle is not nessarry or certain that u win a war . So , a battle is fight during a war period . So in war you can have series of battles . Example , napoleon died in the battle of watlooo but that was not the war that was going on then , i think it was the war he started to conquer Europe then .
