The 10 Most Expensive Sodas In The World by Nobody: 7:29am On Oct 27, 2014
We’re used to paying around one dollar per soda bottle or
can, so how impressive can a list of most expensive sodas in
the world really be? Two words: unique antiques. Believe it or
not, many individuals collect soda cans either for passion or
projected future profit. These people are looking for one of
kind soda can or a bottle that can bring their collection to a
whole new level. Just like any collector, the older the product
is, the more value it has. Why? Because it’s rare.
The following list of sodas are either currently on the market,
or have already been sold and made history as one of the most
expensive soda cans in the world. It won’t surprise many
that Coca Cola, with its consistently ingenious marketing
campaigns and instantly recognizable brand, emerges as one of
the most valuable soda companies today. Collectible cans from
the company range from $150+ all the way to the most
expensive can on our list, which – as you’ll see – is any eye
watering amount. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on
a collectible coke can, we’d strongly suggest holding on to it!
Pass on the happiness, share this with your friends: Who
knows, someone might be sipping on a gold-mine without
knowing!

10. Coca Cola 1997 prototype cans from
TV commercial, $750

Not only do they look adorable, but they are also one of a kind.
These prototypes from a TV commercial back in the 1990s are
currently for sale on Ebay at $750 for the package. As you can
see from the packaging, they look fairly different from the ones
we currently have, in 2014. Although we are familiar with the
intentional dent in the middle, from water bottles, it’s doubtful
you’ve ever had the chance to drink coca-cola from a can
designed like this.

9. 1993 Mexico Acapulco McDonald’s
Coca Cola Bottle, $1,000

Mexican Coca Cola with a McDonald’s stamp on it, what more
could collectors want? This rare find is for sale at $1,000 on
Ebay, with the value coming from its original, unopened
condition. Still, at $1K we’re guessing it won’t be swiped up
any time soon.

8. 10 Indian Sachin Tendulkar Coca Cola,
$1,399

Indian Coca-Cola looks so colorful, you might just want to
spend $139 per can. With the seller offering free shipping
worldwide, buying these can truly be a great investment for the
future; they can be used for pretty decorations in the house or
can be kept for long-term value increase.

7. Pepsi-Cola Taiwan Michael Jackson
Dangerous World Tour 1993, $2,500

Who would have thought that Pepsi ever
collaborated with Coca Cola? Only for Michael Jackson. The
Pop King will remain in our hearts forever, which is why this
Taiwan Michael Jackson Dangerous Tour special edition can
from 1993 is currently selling online for $2,500. The seller
was kind enough to include a rare ticket from the singer’s tour
in Taiwan as well. With Michael Jackson fans looking for new
ways to remember their idol, this can and ticket package will
surely sell quickly!

6. Antique USSR Siphon Sodas, $3,900

Is it a bomb or is it an awesome soda can design? This vintage
Soviet Russian Siphon is currently for sale at $3,900 and makes
the list of most expensive sodas in the world. The can has been
emptied and used by the seller before putting it for auction
online, therefore the new owner will have the possibility to get
creative and fill up this strong-looking can with whatever
beverage he or she may please… Though this might be a better
fit for a museum than for your lunch box.

5. 3 Vintage Pepsi-Cola Cans From The
’50s, SOLD $5,995

Sold at $5,995 on Ebay, these three rare Pepsi-Cola cans are
definitely worth mentioning. The design alone is visually
interesting: All three bottles were originally designed in the
1950s, so the seller clearly knew what he was doing when he
decided to hold on to them. The advert doesn’t specify if
they’re unopened, but the lack of bottle cap on the first two
bottles indicates that the seller enjoyed the delicious soda
beforehand.

4. Antique Kiesener Swiss Apple Juice
from 1942, $7,950

Vintage soda bottles will always command a high price.
Although few of us will be able to say what Kiesener Swiss
Apple Juice would taste or smell like if opened, we can guess
that the value here lies in the fact of the bottle’s age and that it
hasn’t yet been opened. At $7,950, you’d hope that the value of
this investment would increase as the years go on – as long as
you can resist opening it.

3. 6 100th Anniversary Laredo Coca Cola
Bottling Co, $11,000

Six identical, unopened bottles of Laredo Coca Cola Bottling
Co. are currently selling for $11,000 on Ebay. They’ve never
been opened or altered, and the value lies in their rarity. At
$1,833 per bottle, these are more expensive than your average
fine vintage wine – we wonder if Coca Cola ages as well as
liquor, though?

2. Coca-Cola Factory Error Unopened
Can, SOLD $250,000

If you suspected the sellers on this list are just plain crazy,
then this can is evidence that they’re not: This can was actually
sold for $250,000 on Ebay. So yes, there are actually people
buying these rare cans. It’s a good investment for the savvy
businessman though, mostly because its worth will increase
over time. If it’s worth $250,000 in 2014, how much will it be
worth in 2024? Is Coca Cola even going to make factory errors
then?

1. Coca Cola Can Factory Error, $281,000

Coca Cola takes the first place with a $281,000 factory error
can. This unopened and untouched error can from Coca Cola is
currently for sale on Ebay for $281,000. The can is also one of
the most recent on our list, as the Brasil Fifa World Cup logo is
visible on the side. Why buy a house when you could buy a
mistake? Who knows how much it will be worth in the future
though, especially if people start drinking healthier
alternatives.
