I did a factory reset on my galaxy s4 mini and after that, it starts showing invalid imei on the notification bar instead of mtn-ng, unable to connect to 3G. I can browse with EDGE but cant make nor recieve calls. Please guys what do i do ?

Problem: You've corrupted your efs folder.

Solution 1: If you backed up your efs folder previously, then restore it. If not, then go for solution 2

Solution 2: Download your phone's stock rom (preferably from sammobile.com) and flash with Odin

Check again bro. Your phone is likely to be an s4 clone.My friend bought an s4 unkowningly because it looked exactly like the original one and after he did a factory reset,he had the same problem as yours.

I Think it's the S4 clone because i'm unable to reach 'Download Mode'. After pressing Volume down+Home+power, it shows me a .GIF of a droid with '' Colour my world'' written beneath it. But wat confuses me is dt it carries a genuine build number which i looked up n was confirmed by some folks on XDA. The Air Gesture works but no option 2 switch between 3G and 2G. Some options in settings don't work. Are these problems caused by problems to the EFS folder??

Stolen? Common get real! If i stole it, i won't be this bothered nw... I told u i bought it from MTN. It still carries their Sticker in the battery hole. I never knew the Original specs of S4. I just realised that d ROM is 172 MB, and some apps on GPlay aren't compatible despite claiming 2 b 4.2.2.. Can u imagine?? I'll return it 2 MTN. thanks all!

I literally threw everything about that phone away! Using a Z10 now

I did! But i had already tampered with the system. So i was not attended to. I managed to repair the IMEI so i could make calls and browse but everythin else remained as BS.

pls hw did u repair it? im having d same problem here
