Let me share my experience to encourage team DO IT YOURSELF...

Myself and my wife registered and paid (N26k each) online in August, and captured on the 19th of September, scheduled to collect on the 26th of October but I deliberately didn't go there until today, Nov. 24th.

We have collected both passports today - production date was Nov. 8th.

I had help from 2 immigration officers (not with fast tracking), they helped us avoid queuing for capturing and collection.

Alot of people I met there (both during capturing and collection), i left behind - I didn't make it obvious that I had help though.

Except you need your passport next week or next month, don't pay anyone for fast tracking.

Did it at Alausa, Ikeja.

The officers were respectful and very helpful.

This afternoon, those that captured were angry cos there was a pool of people and the process was dragging, their oga came out and addressed everyone, pleaded with them to be calm.

I think DIY is the best option.

do not waste time, confirm if your NIN is truly validated. Then go to immigration to tell them the issues.

It all depends on the urgency, if It's urgent get it in 3day but for normal process it in 2weeks time and the price differs depending on your contact there. You need to go with passport picture, photocopy of a valid ID card, affidavit from high court on age declaration but if you don't have it can be done for you there. The contact you meet will let you know of the item you will bring.

Yes it is and it is very different from attestation certificate which is not the same as affidavit/age declaration and if for those born before 1992. You can look it up online and you can get both even if you're born after 1992 just let them know the attestation certificate is for documentations purpose.

Nope i did mine in January 2021 for 40k, i was lucky that the contact that helped me was a direct contact/boss and a straight forward person. I was surprise sef cause durning that time there was storage of passport booklet and i guess ikeja does their own printing.

Depends on the center sha, go before your capturing date to open your file. Those cyber cafes near their office will help in the collation. I paid 2k which covers everything you need.

That is a big lie.. people who captured From January to August this year have all collected! and yes September is ready and they can go collect as well.. Alausa is currently producing for October.. stop misleading people, Alausa production is now fast! For DIY too.. infact if you pay for fast track, you're wasting your money because it will all come out at the same time

Ask her when, I'm sure it's before September ending. Because fast tracking is no longer possible at Alausa since they changed the PCO and productions are going faster than before

Stop misleading people . I know more than 4 people that did their passports at ALAUSA (DIY) and collected their passports 3 months Max . If you need the passport ASAP, kindly pay for fast tracking. I captured July 13 and I collected my passport 0ctober 14 though the production date was September 22.

Finally, after four months of waiting, my passport is out!

After capturing in mid-june, i went to their office in August (8 weeks) to check if the passport is ready and i didn't know how i did it, i lost my enrollment ID along the line and that is where another war started.

I mail, tweet and chat them on Facebook, no response. I even did a thread, no response.

I remembered during one of my tweet before i lost the ID, i dropped my details for NIS Twitter page to confirm if the passport is out, and i went back to check and i couldn't find that tweet again, i was like this is odd. I hardly lost stuff like this, how come it just vanished like that?

I did all i could to retrieve it but I couldn't. I accepted my fate and was tracking online, still at the production stage. Same stage since i captured.

I was going out one day when i saw the officer at the front office that helped me sorted my files, before i could reach where he was, he was no more there.

I went back to the office a week later, went to his office and we were discussing and i discovered we lives almost same area, if you see the excitement on my face.

Collected his contact and we got talking, he told me "they print passport every Tuesday and they have backlog passports they are still printing because of no paper Issue back then. So once they finished backlog printing, they stopped at April production, so they would continue from there".

So around late August, they started printing April and by September they had printed may and June. The Officer do chat me to update me.

I sent him token for recharge card to appreciate him and he still went ahead and gave it to someone at the production unit so that once my passport is out, i will be informed. Truly, yesterday he chat me up that production unit informed him my passport is out! and i can come anytime for it.

So he helped me bypass that enrollment ID wahala. I went there around 3pm, called him and he took me to the lady in charge and she had already helped me kept my passport , called my name with the rest, handed over to me.

Sat down for activations and left few mins later.

Checked my passport and it was correct and also it was printed just last week since June.

Note: They are just starting printing for July, I don't know about fast tracking, i am talking about DIY.

DIY is not for the faint hearted applicants o. Funniest is, it is getting more harder for DIY because of the crowd getting more increasing daily who wants to fast track their passport especially Lagos and Ibadan.

Do not lose that enrollment ID, i was just lucky because if not, they are ready to frustrate your life.

If you are not in hurry, you can do DIY and wait. As at now, the officer told me they are fully booked throughout this year and January. So the more you wait, the more time you are wasting.

Apart from 25,500 i paid online, i didn't give anyone dime. The token i gave the officer, he didn't request for it, i gave him myself just because he was good to me and also we live same area

i went through total "Do It Yourself (DIY)" Process

My online application date i.e the date i applied online and paid for my passport : May 17, 2022

Capture date: June 10, 2022... I opened file this day and captured this day.. i was there around 12PM but the officer said i came late, 12PM was my appointment time but apparently the time doesn't count, he said since i plan to open file and capture the same day that i should have come early in the morning but he did it for me since all my documents were ready

Documents needed are both photocopy and original documents.. original is just for vetting it will be returned back to you

Capture centre: Osogbo

Collection date: November 29, 2022 but i was told it was ready since September 29, 2022

Total amount spent:#26,000
#25,000 for 32paged passport with 5 years validity, #1,000 for service charge from paystack

i paid no officer a dime and no officer frustrated my life but I underwent every due process. like the capturing date i got there 12PM and left past 5PM, if i had an officer helping i would have called the person and bypass the long wait. that's why I said i underwent every due process there was no way to bypass all those waiting

note: my tracking portal didn't tick the last part and i didn't receive message i just decided to go check up on the passport today and i was told it was ready, so my people don't rely 100% on sms your passport can be ready and you don't receive sms or your passport can be ready and the last part of the tracking isn't ticked

photocopy of guarantors bio-data page from his international passport.. the passport must not have expired

guarantors nin or guarantors drivers license(i used the two though but i don't think using the 2 is compulsory)
