hi, please, i will be needing the int. passport for the IELTS exams i intend writing soon. Someone in the passport office in Ikoyi told me its 40k for the new E-passport and that it will take like 1 week at most to get it. i want to know if this is the best price possible as i dont have excess funds like that to pay. kindly offer some insight if you can.

The new enhance passport is 25k excluding charges for online payment. If it's urgent and you chose to go with the NIS Agent guys, goodluck! Most times that 1 week turns out to be a month, but if you are not in a hurry or your visa never ready or plans to japa still they ahead, why not relax for another 18 - 20 days after your interview date.
By then it will be ready on their shelf waiting for you to pick up.

Go to the website, fill the form with all necessary details and make payment online using your debit card or designated bank, remember to print the guarantor form.
Take the guarantor form to high court or magistrate court, the will attach seal and stamp for 1k.

Take all the printed item, the filled guarantor form including your state of origin certificate and birth certificate (original) to your assign passport office for capturing on your interview date.

Follow all other steps below:

Walk in to any business centre around (after the passport office) and seek for assistance on how to arrange your file, if you are lucky to meet a nice person, he/she might end up assisting you with other document in the file without collecting any fee or payment.

1. Always ask questions

2. Try and locate any Top Immigration Officers (some) for your questions ( them don see money tire, so they are not interested in your change)

3. Avoid Junior Immigration Officers (most), them go always locate their fish.

4. Try locate Servicom ( If they ask from who, just be bold and avoid that question, tell them all your documents are arrange and complete and you are here for documentation and capturing).

5. At Servicom, avoid two shaprapra women by the name Musa or Bello or so, try dealing with Akpan, he is mature and responsible with is approach. At Servicom they will direct you to one opposite building called PTD or sometime.

6. Once you start moving from one stand to the other for stamp and signatures... Always ask questions of what next. The movement is direct. (Go with your original origin certificate and date of birth)

Someone here contacted me in regards to name correction on international passport but i can't find your number. Right now, I'm at the immigration headquarters. Admittedly, you need good connect to get your changes effected and quick enough. And please, whatever names you want to add or remove, make sure that its in your National Identification Number Card oh. Then add any doc which carries the needed name. It makes the change easy and you can get a good bargain plus quick service. I paid just 60k(new passport added). However, my issues was pin though( michael to micheal). I'll keep all updated.
