I wrote the admission test for TalTech on Monday and I scored 9/10. I have gotten an email from the programme manager to choose a date for the interview. I chose April 7. pls help me with interview related questions and stuff.

Congratulations on passing the admission test. Check my previous post. I stated some questions they asked.

Don't forget to read up the course requirements on the website and if you're going for s Graduate course, choose of Thesis or research topic and learn more about it.

Even without sitting for the interview yet I'm already afraid because of the tension of having to answer questions from 2 or more people. When I find my self in a situation whereby I don't know the answer to the question, what should I do.

I understand but here is the kick. Being confident alone will give 30% victory and one of the ways you can become confident is being knowledgeable about the subject matter.

So focus on your course of study and do plenty research about the course.

Next: Have a piece paper or digital document and write out all potential questions they might ask you. You can draw questions from mine and from these website I've attached.

Next: You see that your motivation letter or SOP, read up that doc like a Bible, they would ask you questions from there.

Lastly, the interviewers won't rush you with questions, it's one person at a time. If you don't understand the question, simply ask in a polite way "Sir, could you please rephrase the question" or "Please could you repeat the question, I didn't get that"

You've come along way already, no fear. Just practice, rehearse and pray. God will crown your effort fam. Cheers!

Congratulations bro.. Guess you applied for HCI, that's super serious. Wishing you the best in your endeavors

KingBillionaire:
Hi fam, so I got admitted to Tallinn University some day ago! Currently putting together my documents so I can courier them to Estonia. Had my interview with the Admission panel which consisted of 2 professors, 1 Associate Professor, and 1 departmental lecturer about 2 weeks ago.

The interview lasted about an hour, happened over zoom, i will share some of the Qs I was asked.
- I was asked to introduce myself and talk about my interest.
- Was also asked why I wanted to study in Estonia and if I have the financial resources to foot the bills
- Also, was asked to explain the case studies on my portfolio and the profs went ahead to lambast me with Qs centered around the course. I smashed these
- Was thrown a random Q about 3 times: "What would you do if you get a job paying you 10K Euro 6months into your studies, would you quit school and some other qs
- Was also asked to discuss extensively on my proposed research work and how it would benefit my country and the world at large.
- Lastly, tell us what you think you stand out and what will you do at the end of your program.

At the end of the interview, the lead Prof said, we can't wait to have you by September, na there my mind take sweet grin
-------------------------------------

Wishing everyone who's yet to have their interview a big success.
- Read wide about your course
- Pick a Thesis topic and prepare as they might ask question
- Get a stable internet
- Dress well (na native me wear sha with muslim cap)
- Be very confident and limit your sir, sir, sir, sir

It's a good thing you're preparing now. Requirements differs for institutions, you will have to check the program detail if it's stated in there but since you've check and confirmed you scored above the threshold they asked then you're good to go.

If you're still no certain enough, you could send an email to the department or admission office and they will respond.

I made a 4.3 in my first degree sirundecided

I'm actually going for Undergraduate Studies, so I don't really know much about the GPA stuff you are talking about. The test was only Mathematics and the area of concentration are: Calculus, Integration, Probability, Function of Function, Equation and Inequalities, Arithmetic Finance ( Borrowed interest). The time allocated for the admission test is 2hours.

Hi Adejoro, Thank you for the encomium. A motivation letter is to sell yourself, it helps gives the institution a first-hand insight into your Academics and personal history. I tackled my motivation letter using a strategy i got off Twitter, i will go ahead and share it with you.

NOTE: A motivation letter is where you first sell yourself, you need to "package yourself well and use sweet sweet convicing english "

PARAGRAPH 1: Introduction
Talk about your self, your background, your interest and how it connects to the course you want to study now.

PARAGRAPH 2: What are you currently doing
Talk about your present activities like your job, volunteering experience and generally any mindblowing feat you achieved in the course of your work or while you were volunteering.

PARAGRAPH 3: Why do you want to study this course and tell us about your proposed research topic.
Talk about what you wanna study the course, your reasons, is it because you want help reduce global warming, or you want to help Business and all that. Also talk about your potential research topic and dissect it.

PARAGRAPH 4: Why this school and country?
Here, flex your knowledge about the school and country. Tell them why you chose this school, is it because of the well equipped lab, 10 professors in the department, modern day technology, best research facility, top 10 world unversity ranking and all of that.

PARAGRAPH 5; Summary.
This is your conclusion, tell them of the kind of impact a degree from their school would do to you career, also talking about what you will do at the end of your studies and how you wait to meet the amazing minds at the university and all of that.

So, like we normally do, UPDATE.

I was asked by the university in Estonia to send my transcript. They said the transcript should be sent by the awarding institution in Nigeria and no by me. I travelled down to my school to get the transcript but Non-academic staffs were fully on strike and the COVID 19 crippled alot of thing there.

God been so good, i met an elderly fellow who charged me 35K for the transcript, he said he knew Registrar and could get me the transcript in 3 days cry cryNigeria don corrupt die fam! I follow the papa negotiate, we arrived at 27k, gave him 15k upfront. 3days later transcript was ready and it was stamped.

Called the Schools DHL plug, he was telling me tales by moonlight, saying he's not around that i should wait till next week. Naso, i say olunmaje grin grin. I went to DHL office, filled in my school information as sender, and filled estonia UNI as recipient. DHL said the package would get to estonia in 3 working day. I was charged 34,200NGN

Select a positive detail and exaggerate it (but not to the point of lying). A career transition that comes out of nowhere? Determined and goal-oriented. Have you ever worked in retail? Customer support and communication abilities are exceptional. Include your boot camp experience and assignments, as well as a rundown of why you are applying. Keep it quick and to the point.
