May 19th, 2012. It just finished raining, i set out to see my favourite team play again-Chelsea Football Club vs FC Bayern Mûnchen. It was our second appearance in the UCL Finals which was to be played in Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. It was a fine game as my boys battled Red shirts to claim the everly amazing tittle-The King of Europe. Gomez, Múller, Robben, Ribery, Alaba, Neuer, Lahm, Sweinstieger all were present to ensure the tittle stayed in Munich. Çech, Mikel, Lampard, Mata, Cahill, Luiz, A. Cole, Drogba to mention a few were just being themselves. I got to the viewing centre with my Blue jersey hanging on my shoulder, it was getting tougher here as we were written of by the antagonising supporters of Chelsea - Bayern fans quadripled that day. It got started and Bayern started to mount pressures *like say if them first score them done win* Chai! I couldn't wish for a time like this, that my blood isn't Blue. I was choking but i've signed up for the game and there was no turning back again. 'Tieger was directing pass, Lahm was sending e-mails, Robben and Ribéry was cancelling our defenders. Chai! What a night. Gomez was on point, Mûller was fit, Alaba was playing deep in midfield, where do we take this game? Lampard, only touch balls when Bayern miss their passes. Half-Time, we were outplayed, infact thought how to play football. *Na my Chelsea be dis? god of soccer please intervene na* After the interval, my boys seem now to have a feel of direction as they are beeing able make few passes. Still tormenting my defense, Bayern just wanted to score, Gomez being Gomez, wasteful and selfish. To be continued... 1 Like |

You've been following this thread since it was created and you haven't been admitted yet? Heavenly father look at your children, toiled and are searching, leave them with your grace and favours, intervene for them in this month of November, let us all feel your tender touch of a loving father, that You've always been. Amen. Flood us with your comfort, swamp us with your army of archangels and angels to protect us as we take on our endeavours in this new month of November. Amen. Bless our parents and guardians as they prepare us for the new semester ahead, cover their hardwork with the blood of your holy son, that took human flesh for our sake, give parents the wisdom to train and bring up good children that will be good ambassadors in societies, to Nigeria and the world at large. Amen. Alpha and Omega, take pity on our country Nigeria, help us all with strength and courage to see out these socio-economic, ethno-religious crises, it shall come but we must overcome them all through Jesus Christ our Lord. Please read Yesterday in my area was a total tragedy. We lost two people. Although one was old(i dont think that should be a criteria for death) and the other was a young man. Leaving 3 kids behind with the poor wife. And this morning i watched the video where people died in mecca like drama cos it happened within 5min leaving behind corpses. So i declare this year we shall not witness any death in whatever you beleive in. This year you shall tell a better story. This year you shall witness the goodness of it and not the other way around. You shall not die, your loved ones shall not die. But its so sad because Allah(S.W.T) has said "Qul naf sun za iko tulumu" (every man shall taste death and we shall leave this world). So while you are still breathing, make the best out of it. Increase your good deeds. GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY NEW MONTH 1 Like |

Read for today.
ADVICE FROM AN OLD MAN..
1. Have a firm handshake.
2. Look people in the eye.
3. Sing in the shower.
4. Own a great stereo system.
5. If in a fight, hit first and hit hard.
6. Keep secrets.
7. Never give up on anybody. Miracles
happen everyday.
8. Always accept an outstretched hand.
9. Be brave. Even if you're not, pretend to be.
No one can tell the difference.
10. Whistle.
11. Avoid sarcastic remarks.
12. Choose your life's mate carefully. From
this one decision will come 90 per cent of all
your happiness or misery.
13. Make it a habit to do nice things for
people who will never find out.
14. Lend only those books you never care to
see again.
15. Never deprive someone of hope; it might
be all that they have.
16. When playing games with children, let
them win.
17. Give people a second chance, but not a
third.
18. Be romantic.
19. Become the most positive and
enthusiastic person you know.
20. Loosen up. Relax. Except for rare life-
and-death matters, nothing is as important
as it first seems.
21. Don't allow the phone to interrupt
important moments. It's there for our
convenience, not the caller's.
22. Be a good loser.
23. Be a good winner.
24. Think twice before burdening a friend
with a secret.
25. When someone hugs you, let them be
the first to let go.
26. Be modest. A lot was accomplished
before you were born.
27. Keep it simple.
28. Beware of the person who has nothing
to lose.
29. Don't burn bridges. You'll be surprised
how many times you have to cross the same
river.
30. Live your life so that your epitaph could
read, No Regrets
31. Be bold and courageous. When you look
back on life, you'll regret the things you
didn't do more than the ones you did.
32. Never waste an opportunity to tell
someone you love them.
33. Remember no one makes it alone. Have a
grateful heart and be quick to acknowledge
those who helped you.
34. Take charge of your attitude. Don't let
someone else choose it for you.
35. Visit friends and relatives when they are
in hospital; you need only stay a few
minutes.
36. Begin each day with some of your
favourite music.
37. Once in a while, take the scenic route.
38. Send a lot of Valentine cards. Sign them,
'Someone who thinks you're terrific.'
39. Answer the phone with enthusiasm and
energy in your voice.
40. Keep a note pad and pencil on your bed-
side table. Million-dollar ideas sometimes
strike at 3 a.m.
41. Show respect for everyone who works
for a living, regardless of how trivial their
job.
42. Send your loved ones flowers. Think of a
reason later.
43. Make someone's day by paying the toll
for the person in the car behind you.
44. Become someone's hero.
45. Marry only for love.
46. Count your blessings.
47. Compliment the meal when you're a
guest in someone's home.
48. Wave at the children on a school bus.
49. Remember that 80 per cent of the
success in any job is based on your ability to
deal with people.
50. Don't expect life to be fair. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Read for today. Nigeria University Facts. This post brings to you facts about universities in Nigeria. Some of these facts are actually obsure. 1. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) was designed by an Isreali architect Arieh Sharon. He designed many buildings in Isreal. He was a foremost architect who won the Isreali Prize for Architecture in 1962. 2. Federal University of Technology Yola (FUTY) has been renamed Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH). Modibbo Adama was the founder of Fombina Kingdom (Adamawa Emirate Council). 3. Tafawa Balewa University (in Bauchi, Bauchi State) actually belongs in the ‘university of technology’ category. Many prospective university students are not aware of this fact because it has no ‘technology’ in its nomenclature. 4. The only university in Nigeria that offers a program in metereology is Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State. Though, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUSTECH), Enugu State offers a program in geography and metereology. 5. University of Benin (UNIBEN) was actually a state university. In 1975, it became a federal university at the request of the state. 6. Nigeria has 3 federal universities of agriculture: a) Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State b) University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State c) Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Umuahia, Abia State. 7. The 9 new federal Universities established by President Goodluck Jonathan are: Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa State. Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State. Federal University, Dutsin-ma, Katsina State. Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State. Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State. Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State. Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State. Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State. 8. Grace Alele-Williams was Nigeria’s first female vice-chancellor. She was vice- chancellor of UNIBEN from 1985-1991. She got her doctorate in Mathematics Education from the University of Chicago in 1963. The present vice-chancellor of University of Uyo (UNIYO) Prof. (Mrs) Comfort Memfin Ekpo is a female—the second ever. 9. Federal universities with no catchment areas are the 3 federal agriculture universities listed above, University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), University of Ibadan (UI), University of Port- Harcourt (UNIPORT), Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE). 10. The only university that offers a program in archeology is University of Ibadan (UI). 11. At present, Nigeria has more private universities than state universities (24 state unis and 40 private unis). It should be noted that these numbers are ever changing. 12. Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) is usually referred to as the only university of education in Nigeria. This is wrong. There is another one called Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port- Harcourt, River. Both are state universites. TASUED was established in 2005 while IAUE came into existence in 2009. 1 Like 1 Share |
