Can the Igbo vote be gotten if Okorocha is on the ballot with Buhari? I think it presents the closest chance of having an Igbo leader.

What are your thoughts?

Buhari should consolidate on his perceived support in the South West by choosing a Yoruba running mate, we need to put to test some of the noise our ears have been filled with in recent times about APC not needing Igbo votes to win.
We don't want any excuses when he loses again.

he can even pick the greatest Iroko of the Yorubass, Obasanjo, as his running mate.
that will be a winning combination.
they can be pulling pistols and daggers on each other.

That's not very nice but an Igbo Vp gives the Igbos a real chance at the top role.

It will only give one Igbo man a real chance at the top role, not Igbos.
A President being from a particular tribe doesn't really improve the lives of his tribesmen.
The past records are there.

who says Igbos are looking to be VP to Buhari?

the only thing that can challenge GEJ loyalty is offering the APC Presidential ticket to the South East

I am sure that wont happen! Dangling the VP ticket as a vehicle for Buhari just wont work!

True, you are correct but Nigerian politics right now is influenced by tribalism and religion, until we mature politically.

Igbos are for GEJ!..

Buhari should pick his fellow fulani normads as a running mate. Even if buhari should pick an eastener as his VP, he won't get any single vote ..

Buhari can never become President of NIGERIA again as long as we are one country!

Am just waiting for 2015 when he will lose the election and that his shitty party full of hypocrites would disintegrate.

Except on the occasion of death or impeachment,
how many deputy governors have gone on to be governors?
None?
So none has been supported by their governors to succeed them?
Neither Tinubu selected his deputy nor Peter AdaObi.

Except for death or impeachment,
how many vice prsidents have gone on to be presidents?
None?

opari!

Which makes it more difficult for a from his President's Kinsmen to benefit his Presidency.
His every move in that direction will be viewed with suspicion.

Not in the Nigerian context, Most likely, PDP will present a northern candidate after Jonathan, the next leader after GEJ will most likely come from the North.

We are not yet mature enough to focus on only what a candidate brings to the table.

ur welcome bro, I don't know why they place awusa fulani above others, as if Buhari is more qualified than Rochas. If they need our vote make Rochas the presidential candidate and we all will vote for him, Rochas is more qualified to rule nigeria.

You Ibos are making a mistake.
You better think twice.
When Obasanjo was president I am sure many people taunted you guys and said the earliest an Igbo man could be president would be 2015.
Now 2015 is tomorrow and there is no hope for an Igbo president.
it might be wise to take up tbaba's offer and maybe get an Igbo president in 2023.

Be wise!

so whats the point?

Rochas does not have the following that Buhari has. Apart from the SE/SS, Buhari is very popular in other parts of the country. Plu, i don't think it would be acceptable in parts of the north.

Unfortunately, Nigerian politics is still heavily influenced by ethnicity not competence.
