The day i read the letter the deputy wrote to his boss i know that there is fire on the mountain. Amosun should start plan B before it's late.
What political clout does the deputy Governor Segun Adesegun have even in his home town of Ago-Iwoye? Governor Ibikunle Amosun will win next years election clean and clear

Really glad with brilliant dicussion on this thread. Let the old men leave to where they belong, Amosun was never an Apc guy, he was lurred to come over since they APC could not get a candidate to match OGD's camp. Amosun never believed in god fatherism and he's so much close to the people like Fayose. No Ogun indigene would forget Osoba for his attitude towards workers before he left office, he begged for another term which the people didn't give and PDP took over.

The people are wise now, who knows Obadara and co..I will not blame Kaka, that's his attitude from inception, Mr follow follow... what is Osoba looking for again? His son is a rep member what else..? I tire for this old politicians jare

Y painting a public servant resiqnation as wierld? Its total mistake for them defecting and resuscitating SDP all in cajorling the masses of what manifesto that will never exist amongst this people. I think is the right step at the wrong time. And if anybody tells me amosun is loosing this forthcoming election, that person should justa pose amosun gigantic efforts with the popularity he's got leading to overall acceptance in ogun state, with few dissenting his second term are all retrogressive minds.

thanks for ur mature reply. But believe me ,kwara is for pdp. The only state out of the 3 which I mentioned that is maybe 60% sure for apc is oyo state ,and that is due to the fact that ladoja is keen on contesting and if he contests that will mean 3 big parties with equal porpularity will be going to the polls, that is why pdp and gej are trying to woo ladoja back to pdp with the governorship ticket so that both accoord and pdp will merge,if this doesn't happen then ajimobi has a chance. In the case of ogun, you have to realize that the greatest problem any party can have is if your members turn against you. The apc faction that just left now are not keen on winning but they are the ones who will do everything to make sure that amosun loses. The in fighting in apc is what will cause its downfall in ogun state. Tinubu knows this and this necessitated his visit to obj so that obj can instruct his boys in ogun pdp to decamp to apc and neutralize the negative effect of osoba defection on the party.that is the only thing that can save amosun ,forget the issue of amosun popularity how many of those shouting and hailing amosun has voters cards ?
I dont have a voters card and haven't vote since 2003. But i am going to register this time around to vote for Amosun and i know there are lots like me who have the same mindset cos Amosun has open our eyes to defend of democracy.

Amosun is going to win in Ogun State, let's not even argue that. The people love him, the only complain I've heard is he awards contacts to all these foreign firms without making sure they subcontract to locals. PDP/Daniel on the other hand did absolutely nothing for 8 years.. nothing!!! The road leading to Daniel's house is horrible!! He didn't even bother to do the road leading to his own house

Am amused at the way some armchair politicians are doing permutations as if 2 + 2 is 4 in politics,it doesn't work that way. There are factors that wins elections; 1. Interest. This is usually determined by political bigwigs. Every electorate has one interest or the other derivable from the personalities which forms a party. Only few votes on the basis of public interest, this is Nigeria. Osoba and the other political bigwigs who decamped to SDP have some cult followership whose interest are aligned with those figures. Amosun and APC has lost those followership which will definitely work against him. That's a great minus! 2. Popularity. Popularity is subjective. Amosun constructed roads in the urban areas, what about the rural areas? Has Amosun covered 20 or even 10 percent of Ogun State in his developmental efforts? When campaign starts, people will start to see the minuses of Amosun 4 years. Besides, popularity doesn't win elections all the time. 3. Institutions. Federal institutions like INEC, Police,SSS et cetera. Can Amosun control them when all chips are down? 4. Egba/Yewa/Ijebu dichotomy. This will also play a major role in dtermining who wins. These and so amny other factors will not allow for conclusion that Amosun will win in Ogun State. The factors outlined above are also relevant in Oyo and Kwara States. Kwara is even much more difficult for APC because Bukola's influence is not as strong as that of his father,I swear Bukola is just camouflaging as if he is in control. ALL the institutions he usually use to win elections may not be at his beck and call. Let's wait. I remain, Barrister Kole Oyedele

Thank u for this unbias comment. Sir, the compendium of ur assertions to me is that amosun will win cos i see no incumbent candidate with no challenges, pdp in ogun state is not coming up strong by picking that saviour to bring back that glory. And to the lost sheeps, their story is just that of ppn with the then ruling party.

@ barrister bankole u are one reason I dislike lawyers; reason u enumerated to me personal ly counts for notting. U seems to equate four yrs for 8.
The stride amosun have made so far is reasonable/commendable albeit incomparable to either ogd even this jerugujera agbalagba osoba.tenure.
Let's compare like for like pls.
Thanks. I remain myself.

Tho,I don't support this defection of Osoba but when you're not treated the way you should ,then you don't have a choice,I'm still hoping its a rumour and Amosun and Osoba can resolve this amicably.
Like Osoba said before, the leadership at the national level(Tinubu in particular) is not doing what's right. How can he Tinubu be telling Osoba to accept what he can never accept.Tinubu controls all the elective positions in Lagos, all elected officers from Governor to LCDA chairmen bow to him,now in Ogun all LG chairmen are followers of Amosun, most political appointments are given to Amosun followers who followed him from ANPP.what Osoba is saying and I feel is not too much is something for his own followers too.they've been with him since 2003 till 2011,how will the followers feel after 8 yrs and there is nothing for them despite being in power? Most of them will feel sidelined and don't forget this people also worked for the emergence of Amosun as the Governor in 2011..In as much as I like what Amosun is doing in Ogun, loosing Osoba, the 3 senators,3 house of rep members is not good for him if he wants to be re elected. And I definitely don't want to see Osoba in another party,he is a founding member of APC,from AD to where it is now.

No doubt about that but believe me,when it comes to rural development,Osoba leads,he touched virtually all the villages in Ogun during his tenure with his electrification project

Neuer trust an elected leader in Nigeria with a second term. They mostly will stop working or work at slow pace like Fashola and Mimiko. Am a preacher of Single tenure. Let them all leave for someone else since they cannot be trusted with a second term

thanks for educating ppl on the basics of nigeria politics . I am always surprised when ppl say amosun will win because he is popular. The question ppl need to ask themselves is where is he popular? In the urban areas or rural areas? What is the percentage of educated voters compared to those who will simply follow the orders of their political fathers? In politics we have core voters and swing voters, core voters can be for a party or against a party. In this case apc has lost some core voters because no how osoba and his group will take their followers out of apc and these followers will vote against amosun even if he builds castles of gold for them. Then there are swing voters and these are mainly in the rural areas ,you just need to meet their interest before they can vote for u , if feelers coming in from ogun state is anything to go by then amosun only has support of ppl in abeokuta and urban areas. The case of fayose is totally different because fayose was challenging the governor ,he wasn't the incumbent so it was very easy for him to point out the mistakes of fayemi .in the case of ogun state, osoba and his group will be the ones to finish off amosun by breaking the votes of apc . This is a big plus for pdp, definitely in the coming weeks more politicians will still decamp from apc to either sdp or pdp .then we shall see how amosun will be able to hold off the 2 points attack from these 2 parties

why bringing pastors into the issue the issue is about politician changin party like wrapper.

it is possible he was scammed by a master scammer who appeared to him in the "clothings" of a pastor.

Let us look at the three "P"s.

1. Prostitute: which normal lady will fake to be a prositute? Except undercover police, this cannot happen.

2. Politician: some people might fake that they are politicians. And the goal would be to scam politicians.

3. Pastors: any scammer can fake to be a pastor. His audience will include: prostitites, politicians, engineers, doctors, lawyers, rich and poor, educated and non edudated, the sick and the healthy, etc.

Sure there are plenty of fake pastors, but the existence of fake is the proof that original is existing there!
