A Career In Programming Vs A Career In Law,accounting, etc.. by asalimpo(m): 1:05am On Nov 08, 2014 |
iow, how does programming compare to careers in other professional fields? Law accounting pharmacy medicine architecture engineering etc is programming a professional field? Do programmers hav a future? Or programming some fantasy thing tht besets callow youths influenced by i.t stories from faraway lands? If you cud do it again wud u download that ide and ebooks or wud u go to law school, ican lectures, register with coren etc.. How do other professionals regard you , when u say the 'p' word- that you're a programmer. |

asalimpo:The truth is that as a programmer in Nigeria, you will end up being a caffeine-dependent cyber geek who is struggling to make a decent income. Nigerians, unlike the western world, dont give a fvck about ur software unless you beg them to use it for free. However, web programmers are into a decent business here. In summary, choose your career in other fields like engineering, accountancy, etc. Then make programming your passion. Who knows........it may make you become the next Mark Zuckersberg of Nigeria. 2 Likes |
