Russia reveals satellite image of Ukrainian fighter jet shooting down MH17 KUALA LUMPUR: Russia has reiterated its claims that Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH17 was shot down by a Ukrainian fighter jet. The state-controlled Channel One TV broadcast what appeared to be a satellite photo of a passenger plane and a jet fighter in the skies above Donetsk. It said in the report, the image, which was provided by an unnamed source, was allegedly taken the moment the Ukrainian MIG-29 fighter jet fired a missile at MH17. It was claimed the image was taken from a British or US satellite. The latest claims contradicts earlier reports that said the plane had been shot down by surface-to-air missiles allegedly owned by pro-Russian separatists. Channel One TV went on to say that Russia has proof that a crime was committed by certain parties who deliberately wanted to shoot the plane. You won't hear this other perspective from the western media, at best they'll ascribe it to propaganda. It can only be American satellite pictures that are authentic. |

tinkinjow: It was actually a picture taken from a UK spy satellite that was passing over Ukraine. The Russians hacked it and took the archived image almost immediately the news broke. |
