Nigeria - Ex Lagos state governor, Babatunde Raji fashola, on Wednesday during his screening for ministerial duties by the senate was quizzed on the deportation of some people from the state when he was govenor.

He said those he deported from the state were miscreants who were not contributing to the development of the state.

“In a federation, the right to free movement is not absolute, it carries with a responsibility not to be a nuisance. He said those moved to their states of origin were those who asked to be taken home.”

He apologised in the interest of national cohesion.

The senate has finished screening Senator Udoma Udo Udoma from Cross River state. During his presentation, Udoma said he will be bringing his experience in the private sector to bear when he is confirmed as Minister. He was asked a few questions which he answered very well. He was asked to take a bow and go. They definitely approved of him!

Embattled Senate President Dr.Bukola Saraki finally honored the invitation of the Code of Conduct Tribunal this morning .This comes after two bench warrants were issued .He is expected to answer to charges relating to false declaration of assets ..
He was accompanied by several senators and his deputy Sen. Ike Ikweremadu.The tribunal has banned live coverage of the proceedings.

Senate President Bukola Saraki has arrived the Code of Conduct Tribunal where he is to answer to a 13 count charge of alleged false declaration of assets while he was governor of Kwara state. He arrived with his deputy, Ike Ekweremaadu and other senators.

An uncompleted building collapsed at Agungi-Lekki very early this morning. It is not known if there were people inside the building when it collapsed but an eyewitness at the scene said they heard workers saying they left one of their colleagues in the building and haven't seen him yet. So shortly before former governor Fashola’s tenure expired, officials of KAI relented in their duties which made a lot of Lagosians abandon Lagos pedestrian bridges and prefer to cross the major roads. Well the KAI officials are back now, arresting people who go against the law and have been spotted at strategic places. The citizen who posted these photos online showed us in the one below how Lagosians in their numbers abandoned the major road crossing and have gone back to Pedestrian Bridges. The photo below was taken in Oshodi today and it tells it all

You know Lagosians don’t do the right things except they force them to do it
