My client, a global leader in the manufacture and distribution of hair and personal care products seek to employ a National Sales Manager to drive her sales activities here in Nigeria. The candidate will achieve distribution of the brands in all relevant retail/ wholesale outlets in the area and overall co-ordination/ integration of Sales activities in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities: • Recruits suitable distributors in Nigeria • Manages customers for sales and collection of accounts. • Oversees the sales planning process to ensure that it is consistent with the growth and profit objectives of the company. • Once the planning process is complete, ensures that strategies are effectively implemented and that goals are achieved within budget parameters. • Develops relationships with the formal trade and informal trade. • Maintains regular and close contact with key customers to ensure that they are satisfied with the company’s service and customer relations. Initiates corrective actions as necessary. • Conducts field trips and store checks to personally keep his “finger on the pulse” regarding the quality of the selling and merchandising effort at store level. • Ensure the products have maximum shelf impact (prime position on shelf; adequate number of facings; creativity of displays; promotional activities; effective use of point- of-sale materials, etc.) • Establish and maintain positive and mutually respectful customer relationships based on sound product, consumer and market knowledge; an in-depth understanding of each individual customer’s needs, and reliable, professional service. • Negotiate competitive shelf prices for the brands, whilst working within the authorised parameters for trade deals • Negotiate an adequate number of in-store activities & promotions for the brands and ensure that they are executed in a quality manner • Ensure proper stock rotation of the brands, so as to maximize consumer satisfaction and minimise returns. The Person: • Must have an MBA or Msc • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role • Must have worked in the FMCG sector • Must have good communication skills • Must be able to travel on short notices Send your resume and application to : ooni.provenability@gmail.com Salary is industry competitive.
