Nairaland Made My Day by OAM(m): 8:33pm On Nov 19, 2014 |
I had one of the most busiest day at the office yesterday, had three major meetings with top clients within our stable. And being one of the dudes in Business Development worsened it as all the meeting's was initiative driven, brand activation, bla bla bla. I was mentally weak and i needed to re-energize myself with what i know how to do best "Nairaland, Punchonline, Premiumtimes, London Hereald Tribune etc" but, unfortunately apple had another plans for me. I am a guy that has sworn by Apple, its expensive but, its worth every penny. I decided to run all my apple device with the latest iOS 8 so as to enable me receive calls with my system regardless of distance. The whole upgrading distorted my internet service and i couldn't get to join my guzs via the E joint. On getting home, i hurriedly sorted the issue and within minutes i was back on, quickly went through my mails, made some calls and i finally rushed to the bathroom for a fresh shower. And immediately i jumped on Nairaland to relax and join my fellow Nairalanders in discussions but, within me i knew i wasn't ready for the whole PDP and APC wahala. I just wanted something fresh and educative for the night. Usually i just run through trending topics on the front page and move to straight to politics "The jewel of NL", after which i run through Romance section to see how the NL kids are doing "lol". Hence, i wasn't expecting an interesting front page yesterday but, to my surprise it was one of the best in many months for me. One of the first post that made it to the front page yesterday was "Love Story Of A Unilag Babe And A Bus Conductor" by Maclatunji. The story wasn't just about its lines or paragraph, it was about the message it carries, sincerely i don't care if the story is a fiction, whats important is the effect it had on all of us; i personally shared that story with my colleagues at the office and i was glad i did. The second interesting post for me was "He Finally Experienced Travelling By Air For The Very First Time" by contactmorak. I followed the initial trend where the op was seeking advice from fellow Nairalanders and it reminded me of my first experience. Everyone showed him love and gave him all the needed info, it was like brothers helping another and we were all glad he came back to show appreciation. Each of us has probably, at some time or another, felt the effects of appreciation in our life. It generates a marvelously giddy feeling of self worth and creates a human connection to others that encourages us towards even more collaborative relationships. As a Nairalander, it is important to give appreciation to the super mods for a work well done yesterday. Seun please kindly encourage these fresh blend of mod you have, we believe in them. We are hungry for more now that we have tasted juice. NOTE: Its a shame we couldnt qualify.#FollowTeamGhana 1 Like |
